N54 exhaust note changing when driving (climbing a hill)

Hello, My car is n54 FBO MHD 2+ (no boost leak)
under constant throttle if you begin to climb a hill(even a slight one) the exhaust note changes to be much louder and becomes VERY droney. Since it happens only under those conditions, and happens almost every single time i think it's reacting to the increase in load rather than a mechanical issue.

If i give it just a little more throttle it immediately goes away.
i think it's either VANOS changing cam timing or WG position changing in response to increased load

    what do you think??

If it’s loud maybe the exhaust is rubbing on something. The cam timing is always changing under load and other controlled variables.

If you can log and see your WGDCs% at 0 during this exhaust tone change, it's the CILC adaptation, it happens often cruising on climb.

I had this effect exactly the same when going uphill but between buildings. I thought my exhaust broke off directly after the downpipes.

It happened now two or three times to me in mostly the same scenario. So i am not worried at all. Car is running perfectly fine.

You rebuilt the engine because of the exhaust note?

Try to log WGDC banks when it happens.

If they goes to 0 and come back to normal if you snap the throttle, it's the CILC adaptation (search n54 CILC) and it appears to be normal.

The exhaust note changes because WGDC are tottally open when on 0, it's louder.
