    New to me 991.1 PDK

Here's my newest addition to the garage. The wife needed a new DD and we test drove Macan/X3/GLE and we agreed SUV's are boring.
She wanted the PDK and Im not really complaining, it complements the engine excellently. I love manuals but the PDK is ridiculously good.

It may be a base 911 but the interior quality is on another level over my other cars (BMW/Caddy/Infiniti etc) and it has like half the power of my CTS-V but its still so fun to drive.
Love the dark blue metallic paint and ventilated seats (game changer here in the summer in Atlanta)

Ill have pics of it with my S2000 and CTS-V later this week but to me these 3 cars are perfect complements to each other.

I really wanted a 991.2 turbo motor for the modding but my wife loves this thing and its CPO so still has a warranty.

I saw it. Congrats but you'll wish you got the 3.8 every time you drive it.

I didn't even know you had an S2K. Howmdid you like it? How about versus the Porsche?

The 991.1 has really nice chassis Dynamics and the PDK is amazing so it will be a fun to drive if not all that fast.

Yeah I got an S2000 a few months ago. I love it, I have been daily driving it every day since I got it and taken it up in the mountains of north Georgia/North Carolina (some of the best roads in the US for sure).
The S2000 is more of a go kart than the 991 but the 991 is way faster obviously. S2000 is like a motorcycle with 4 wheels and it has the best manual transmission of any car I have driven.
991 is just so high quality and feels so solid around corners. Way more refined than the s2000.

I agree the 3.4 isn’t “fast” but it is plenty fast to be fun and I don’t think we will regret it, we got a killer deal on this car. If I wanted to spend more I would rather get the 991.2 for sure. The 3.8 isn’t enough of a step up to justify the price to me. I drove one and it still felt slow compared to the V.
And either way it’s 100x better than even a Macan.

My CTS-V is what I’ll drive if I need something “fast”.

I agree if this was my only car I would want more power but with the rest of the garage it fits perfectly.

Mostly I wanted to get the wife into enjoying cars with me and I plan to take the 911 and the S2000 to road Atlanta to get some seat time on a nice track.

Yeah we decided a few months ago not to make the move for various reasons. Then I immediately bought my S2000 and now the 911 so Im happy with the decision lol.
I love Switzerland but we can always just vacation there. We probably wouldn't have been able to afford even one nice car in Switzerland and with my driving habits and the speeding fines there if I did have a fast car I would probably go broke or land in jail haha.

Yeah I can't lie I have already been looking what was out there. Looks like Cobb has an accessport for it but the gains are only like 20 hp unless you start spending a lot of money and even then the bang for your buck HP wise isn't there like with a turbo car.
JB4 might be worth it though depending on cost and gains just to get a little more pep.

Agreed. I was nearby, Germany/Austria a month ago. I watched Cars with Luke on youtube now and then and he stated car price there is outrageous. Smart move!

Yeah there is a reason everyone drives tiny little hatchbacks over there.
Although I did see a a $#@!in black Aventador in Geneva with ambassador plates on it. I have no clue how he fit that car down their narrow ass streets.

I may have to take you up on that. You don’t have any JB4s for an NA 3.4 yet?
Only concern is how altering the signal would affect the DCT shifting etc.
