    N54 2aaf 3100fe

Hello Everyone, Im new here to this forum. I want to start by giving my cars current background which I purchased a 335i about a year ago, and have done necessary replacements. hpfp, plugs, coils, except the injectors. I hardly drive the car as it sits at 124,000 miles. I bought the car in VA at 119,000 I have jb4, cp, inlets and dp and a catless exhaust. I have done my homework and read on several forums even prior to purchasing this car but I still am an amateur when it comes to reading logs. Anyway let's get to the point.

I've been doing some pulls and around 4-4500 rpm and the car goes into limp mode and engine power is reduced. I pulled the codes with the jb4 and read 2aaf, 3100fe, 30ff, 2e8e. Now I haven't been focusing on the battery, but the car pulls strong up until 4k. I have read the obvious. Check for boost leaks which I have done twice, im good there. Next would be to check the wga arms for anything that would cause obstruction in movement which I have checked (the rear). I am hitting 20 lbs when I think target is 16.5 on map 2(which is all I use). I still throw the same codes on the other maps. Moving forward, I have checked both boost solenoids which seem to be reading fine. I have taken out and cleaned my map sensor. I have searched and even called active autowerkes and confirmed that my bov is open during idle, closed during acceleration and releases pressure again off throttle(working as designed). Which leads me to believe my lpfp is going bad/cant feed enough.Click here to enlarge . Could I get some feedback please!! Here is an attached log. Thanks in advance.190527_2048.csv190527_2048.csv

Not sure how the fuel pressure could cause the car to overboost that much.
The logs confirm boost is far above target and there is massive throttle closure in an attempt to control boost.

Alright... so would the jb4 or dme be most likely to be the culprit? Im not even sure where Id even start.. I believe I have the g4 board.. options only go to menu 9

Weird that you're getting 30FF when it's overboosting.

Does the car still overboost in map 0 or 4, or with the JB4 completely removed? How did you check the WG solenoids?

I haven't removed the jb4 but in map 4 I do. I clear the code and it will work fine, maybe after a few pulls and 5 minutes go buy it will over boost then also throw a 30ff code. I checked the WG solenoids with a mityvac, both with the car on and off. Not sure if I did it right with the car running... Did the test that the guy on youtube did and got the same results...

Maybe @Terry@BMS can suggest what is going on with the underboost code... I am not using a JB4, but target, boost, throttle and WGDC in the log is screaming overboost.

You could also check your waste gates with your mighty vac. You should hear/see it closing if you apply vacuum.
If it stuck close you won't hear it closing...

The overboost with underboost code makes me think the DME isn't seeing boost from the JB4 hence the 30FF. I'd pull the JB4 completely off and go from there, scan codes from the OBD instead; Clear the existing codes and see what pops back up.

If it is an issue with the JB4 itself, this would be a good time to upgrade to the G5 board; The G4 has been obsolete since 2011.

What I also don't understand is why is the jb4 running meth when I am not using or have any setup available... How would I turn this feature off. Everything is set to 0 in WMI except min and max. (3500) and (6500)

So just a quick update. I haven't done anything recently in help diagnosing the car. I've been super busy with the summer months at work. Anyway from what im gathering I could toss a few boost solenoids at it since they are operational but im not sure when the last time if they even were replaced. Im going to order a few. Wish someone had a definite answer on the g4 board diagnosis.
