bmw 335i N54 CAS Vin match Programming

    Hi guys,

I purchased a car and found out that the CAS vin doesn't match my car's VIN. The car is running fine but when trying to flash my XHP it reads 2 vin and won't let me flash on the right VIN. I would have to buy 2 license for both VIN. My question is : I have INPA and ncs and all the other software. Can I match the vin from my CAS myself and still have the car running or I will have to go to the dealership?

    Thank you

Will give it a try, just hope my car will match my key afterwards. I’ve seen a lots of scary things about this on some forums! Have you ever done this?

I think the VIN match isn't as much of a concern for the key/cas match as the ISN has to match between the CAS and the DME, which must have already been done if your car runs but the VINs dont match between modules. Does your car have an MSD81 upgrade by chance?

Just google for adjusting the VIN, you will find some info telling you what can and cannot be done.
Its not really an issue, but learning how to correct is a nice one.
You can't really brick the car, you can make it temporarily unavailble but a simple reset will bring it back to life.

Hey guys, I need some help with my WINKFP. I updated everything as mentionned in some of the videos on the internet. My issue is when opening the app, after choosing comfort mode all I have is :

    F1: Identify Ecu Family
    F2: choose Custom File
    F3: Update Ecu

In all the video I've seen to update the vin I should click ZUSB and SERIAL but none of them are showing up in my WINKFP.

    Is is set right?

    Thank you !

Ok I just figured they are the same option, different name. But I can't fint the right zb number in the choose custom file. My ZB number is 9227053 and it's not there in Winkfp? Also when trying with identify ecu family it failed.

    Thank you
