    Powerglide to N54

    Powerglide to N54 nearly done.

Took 5 revisions on Cad and jet cutter so far.
A few more revisions and it will be good to go. All the bolt holes are perfect just got to get the thickness and countersinking right.

Cool. Most people are thinking about dragging a BMW when they see this. But there might be a market for old inline-6 Chevys that would think about putting a junkyard N54 in their car if they knew this was available.

    Not sure yet.
It was manual so I have do something with the clutch sensor so it starts.
    Reverse light maybe.
Tune wise not sure what issues will pop up.
I really want an aftermarket ecu so I can delete direct injection.

So, single turbo, glide, ADE 8.8 conversion, port injection, Dirt floor garage, 35c in the shade and 100% humidity. Feel like flyin to NT to help but id probably slow you down.

Should have all the reliable parts to be consistent. Now the engine is the weak link.

If you just want the ic @Brule I already have it done for the 335 with the correct orientation for the inlet and out let pipes, it will save you a packet on fabrication.

You just have to make your own mounting brackets and power steering relocation.

This is a pic of my mock up ic.

Yours is a good looking kit but I wanted to go a bit bigger core for my setup. I can fabricate so no problems there.

We have around 15 cores in the wild with absolutely no heat issues, you'll be fine in Darwin with the plazmaman core as we tested ours in 46c and 90% humidity during the last summer pounding on it for a good hr non stop on a private track. The only issue you will get on the track is the power steering boiling and you will need to do something about it, we had to do away with the crap factory cooler and run a external setrab cooler and now it has no issues even the reservoir stopped sweating any oil as it hardly gets above ambient temps.

what size core are you trying to fit if you dont mind me asking?

Thats good your selling a few intercoolers. I want all aussies to get plazmaman.

I dont plan on having heat issues either. Im sure your intercooler would be ok I just want to keep iats down as much as possible.

Ill look at a cooler when i install the trans cooler cheers.

Mines 76mm thick but looks about 150mm wider as it just fits against the 2 main rails and the brake ducts need to be removed.

For performance some sacrifice is needed. Ill pull the power steering off before getting high iats lol
