High power N54 cam gear / exhaust issue

Thought this was interesting as @andy_divers of AD-E was commenting on Kratos hitting 1150 rwhp with their S55.

AD-E says the issue Kratos is running into is the same as high powered N54's regarding the cam gear and exhaust:

So what is this shared N54/S55 part that is problematic in high powered applications?

It's not the "part" but the issue of valve float is what Andy is referring to.
Most people won't have this issue- not many are making big power, and well... most don't pay attention to valve seat pressure, valve float, hydraulic lifter issues, spring pressure, rotating force, etc in the head.

Valvetronic just compounds the issue with the valvetronic motor, its rationality and other complications.

The S55 valve float issue was already solved so not sure why Andy is referring to the cam gear as being a problematic part: https://www.bimmerboost.com/content....e-float-issues

well, I dont know his exact issue, but walking through logic, if cam torque is increased due to high pressure valvetrain, the vanos cant adjust as quick and causes plausibility issues
