Why though? It's a one-dimensional drag car that's slow for a drag car.

You can get an F80 M3 into the 9's on the factory trans with a full interior and with more trap speed.

If making a full on drag car, at least make it something like this instead of taking away what makes it a BMW:

A dedicated drag car that runs 9.9? Heh

Based on that 1/8 mph it should be trapping higher...

Not sure why alot of people are against changing transmissions. The oem has a limit and it gets boring going slow.

Good on him for setting it up to go faster.

Customer says it misfired up top, which made for a lower trap. Here's the slip:

An 800 whp 6-speed or DCT car on the highway that isn't stripped out would be more fun than this IMO even if it can't match the 60 foot.

Just so dumb IMO N54 people don't just use the DCT. Holds more power + it shifts faster. No brainer.

I believe that the reason is that the one being used is less expensive than do a DCT swap??

I've been reading about this car and yeah they ran out of gear on their previous 10.3 pass. Moved from 26 to 28" tire. The 4L80E trans makes it look like a frickin wheelie off the line.

I'm most impressed that it's still a twin-turbo car and not like the big single car down in Straya

Congrats! Nice run! I can respect a TH400 a lot more than a Powerglide.

That ET is all in the launch. You can run 9 sec passes all day with 600WHP if you can cut 1.3 60 fts.

Wonder what the car weighs, doesn't look like much. Put stock turbos on this car it would prob run low 10's. The engine mod list and trap show its making low power, but he has the trans, and suspension sorted... Nice work

Definitely awesome stuff here, this thing is ripping in that 60'. Glad to see some bolt-on twins also doing single digit ET's on a nicely setup drivetrain.

Really has the juices flowing on dropping the AT (that seemingly has no future) and moving the platform into a 4L80-E, I realize there is an offering but haven't followed it real closely. Would be very nice to see an elegant/near seamless solution for it though.
