Precision 6266 single N54 with E92 M3 drivetrain including DCT swap, differential, axles, etc.

Don't know the full details on this but if I were to ever do an N54 (that would be the day) this is exactly how I would go about it:

Best option IMO. Better than a sequential, auto swap, auto upgrade, powerglide, whatever and it's a factory solution.

He's done a really nice job on this, first guy to pull it off AFAIK, and the single is the cherry on top, so to speak. Mine is a carbon copy, following his lead minus the turbo upgrade. Basically it's a M3 GWS, DSC, SZL, KOMBI, M3 GTS DCT flash, full M3 drivetrain (I changed my FD to 2.81), repinning of connectors, some custom wiring, and assorted bits and pieces to get it all together. And a $#@!load of coding, custom coding, and programming/flashing.

So what exactly is the whole recipe for this? Can we put it together with a DIY?

It's exactly the way to go IMO.

A full DIY to get to where I'm at with a M3 DSC/SZL conversion, wiring in the DSC and Power button would be quite the endeavor. Only thing I'm missing right now is the hybrid IKM0S/INA0S bin to activate the Power button and that will also hopefully make MDrive and MDM functional through the IDrive.

Do you have to cut the driveshaft?

Yes. I opted to buy the M3 trans output flange rather that cut up my 335is DS and make a hybrid DS. That way my 335is drivetrain is intact should I want to sell or use and I'm not sitting with a chopped up M3 DS. I forget the exact amount but you really have to compare the driveshaft coming out with the M3 DS going in, for me I had something like 2" removed from the front DS section. The distance from the face of the DS mounting flange to the leading edge of the center bearing mount needs to be the same or damn close.

Cost me $140 to have it cut, rewelded, and balanced. A bargain compared to the coin I dropped on everything else.

The DCT in a M3 and a 335is are internally the same except for the software, externally the only difference is the oil cooler addition on the M3.

Get a 335i. Swap in the DCT bits with detailed procedures. Win our hearts. Gain clicks for the site. Have a fast E92 that is good at running (sort of, with $#@! load of errors) instead a fast E92 that is good at sitting in Gintani shop. Click here to enlarge

You mean e9x m3 software ? I know you can flash e9x GTS software(ive done it Click here to enlarge)
I didn’t think that M4 GTS software would work in an n55/n54. The m4 had two bus connections and isnt a straight swap. Can you elaborate on how you did this ?
