    Did every one give up on the m157 ?

    I just want to know. It looks like it since these new 4.0 biturbos came around. I just think people move on too fast now a days lol but i say that to say this i didn't. I think theres alot of untapped power in the whole m157/722.9 power plant and alot of guys dont kno that but i will try to make me bold statement valid. Does anybody have any thoughts ?

    People moved on and the M177/M178 architecture is in more cars.

    The M157 still makes a lot of power and there are some strong examples out there but it's just not as popular.

    So i started with my diff the cls 63 with the performanca package i thought came with the lsd differential but apperently mines didnt so i ordered a helical one and installed it and it made a huge difference

    there are 1000+hp M157s and still cant run 9s .... all the power in the world doesnt matter on these as the TCU limits trq in the first 3 gears so much.... I had m157 and moved on as it was a lost cause... too much TCU encryption and intervention

    people get excited when a 850 awhp (with $20K in mods ) M157 runs 10.3 to 10.6.... that's how bad it is

    the engine by itself is great, but paired with the 722.9 MCT and TCU, is a different story

    I understand and you are very right and make a valid point but its not the trans fault or the cars its whats it being controlled by which is the computer so if i find a different source of controlling it then it will happen.

    Has anyone heard of syvecs ecu ?

    Brand new high temp boots brand new heat treated metal high tq packing grease and heat treated bearings thanks to gator axles they took care of me for a low very affordable price compared to 2 grand from these over priced companies thanks gator axles

    Of course we want to see it I'm just wondering if the TCU is an issue why you're trying to do it?

    Ok the r35 is the same or similar platform as the m157 in electronics for the engine and trans so syvecs and other companies makes full plug and play ecus for those cars so i can try to get one made for mines

    It's worth a shot. That would alleviate many potential issues.
