Unhappy 2fa4 "incorrect data record intermittent" no power

    Hello all,

I recently got my cas programmed with key to a second hand msd80 dme due to not starting.
Car fires up and idles well however I have no boost and the error code 2fa4 appears.

I have read that this can be due to a mismatch in power class for the cas and dme and also that it may need the working hours reset.

I dont really know what this means, is there anyone that can help or any places near heathrow I can take my car for them to sort the code out?

    Any help appreciated Dudes!

Ive read that thread- although the same code is there i cant seem to make sense of how it was resolved, Long story short, I dont have any bmw software to be able to amend/edit values in the DME - i literally got the code from a Delphi Diagnostics laptop without any coding functionality.

Is there no1 in the heathrow/ West london area that would be able to help. Ive had garages saying they will need my car for days to resolve this error without any guarantee that it will be fixed. and i simply cant afford that. If anyone knows of a company that has fixed the 2fa4 error previously and would know the process Please let me know - My 335i is currently about half the speed/performance of a standard 318i Click here to enlarge

    Its stated in the post.

"Change 4C9C8 from 00 to 01, then flash the BIN to the DME. That should do the trick nicely."

    This is for IJEOS.
Read the threads on how to read and flash your ecu using bimmerboost or MHD.

You probably just have the wrong flash on the DME. Flash the latest ROM for your specific car to the DME. I didn't know MSD80 came out in any higher power class variants. U sure it isn't an MSD81?

No you need the right ZB number to suit your vehicle flashed with WinKFP and also need something to do with the CAS and the VIN done too.

Or toolset 32 STAT_BSZ_WERT=0 is what im trying to achieve - we have managed to determine the powerclass on cas is wert-02 and on ecu is wert-00 however we cant change this until the hours are reset

Usually this means the zusb number is not compatible with the Dme.
