    Documenting my VTT Stage 2+ Journey - BEWARE GARTH TURTLETUNED

    Decided to buy the Vargas stage 2+ upgraded twins back when the group buy was announced. They arrived on Monday at 6pm and by 8pm I had already dropped the car off with a box full of fast to be installed. Tonight I will be getting it back and logging some basic map3 75 add runs to send to terry for further tuning. I plan to use the single turbo backend per terry also. I will be updating this thread with links to logs, discussions regarding tuning and other relevant topics will be added as well. The plan is to play with these at lower boost levels to get around 575 whp give or take and see how,long the trans holds. When it goes I will most likely upgrade to the dct trans with Dodson upgrades if they prove to be worth the money.

    Finally a Stage 2+ customer appears from Vargas! Thank you for keeping us all in the loop with everything. Can't wait to see it all together and how they perform! Btw how is the nitrous kit? Is it setup to fire the solenoid through the JB and if so what jet and settings do you have? Just curious because I was looking into doing something similar and haven't found anyone running a kit that's willing to share details lol

    Nice..been window shopping these turbos since they been out I'm gonna get them next year. I think 575whp is the perfect power for the AT cars. @Tony@VargasTurboTech Can we achieve 575whp with e50 at 21psi?

    I'll have the same turbos hopefully in less than a month and I'll be running as high a ethanol content as my stock Hpfp will allow but I also have an aquamist meth kit to supplement my fuel with. I'm hoping to make a solid 600/600 from 5k rpms to redline but would guess I'll be running around 25psi give or take to hit that number.

    I give your trans. A month at the most. Without valve body and flash my car would not shift 2-3 or 3-4 on 21psi down to 18. Hope it holds up but you'll know immediately if it's gonna hold at all. Oh yeah, Bolt on some dr's your gonna need them.

    First log, quick highway 4th gear pull didnt take it all the way due to traffic. Will get some tuning done after thanksgiving by terry then hit a dynojet for some numbers.

    Looks ok, you need to get your JB updated so you can log all 6, that is extremely important. Its also overshooting target up top and closing throttle, def some work left to be done.

    Just as a side note here also, these turbos make a much more noticeable spooling sound. Very cool $#@!, so far very impressed with how little surprises there were along the way. More to come for sure over the next week.

    For that first log, I was running close to e75ish give or take. This is more than I typically run with the old vargas HPFP upgrade (I do not have the new single or double barrel solution yet). I normally run around 4-5 gallons of ms109 or 104GT with the rest being e85 or e98 depending on whats available. I did this on spray and the HPFP hung in there well. Once I get the right fuel in the car and get a few map/backend tweaks made we can start to try to get right up to the limits of the trans without overshooting it and breaking $#@!.

    We did our very best to make them as plug and play with the bigger inlets now being nice press snug fit into the stock intakes, they should drop in just like a set of stockers, looking forward to your updates!
