    • The 2019 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye is a Demon Light

The Dodge Demon production run is over. Dodge achieved what they set out to do which was build the world's fastest production car in the 1/4 mile. The Demon received a larger 2.7 liter twin screw blower, new engine internals, drag radials, and a race gas map good for 840 horsepower.

The Redeye does not have 840 horsepower or drag radials. It does have the 2.7 liter twin screw blower and 797 horsepower at 14.5 psi of boost. It also gets stronger engine internals.

A few other cool things are the SRT Power Chiller which uses the air conditioning system to cool intake air. A revised valvetrain raises the redline by 300 rpm over a standard Hellcat for 6500 rpm total. The fuel system is also beefed up.

Dodge says the Redeye will run 10.8 @ 131 in the 1/4 mile and we believe them. Very cool to see them produce yet another Hellcat variant after the Demon.

I have to commend these guys at Dodge. The regular hellcat (Charger and Challenger) is already a 9 second car with light mods on E85. For about $7,300 (in parts and labor), the regular hellcat can put down 900rwhp and runs mid-9s. And that is before this hellcat Redeye variant came out with stronger internals and the bigger blower blower.

I would love to see what it can do on the street with the Trackhawk's AWD drivetrain.
