    • Test numbers for the 2018 Ferrari 812 Superfast - 0-60 in 2.8, 10.4@138.6 1/4 mile, 3845 lb curb weight

Ferrari may be arrogant and they may cheat at tests but there is one thing they still do better than everyone else in the world. That is building a high performance naturally aspirated V12. Only one other company (guess who) even attempts it today.

The V12 is etched in Ferrari history and it is hard to imagine a Ferrari lineup without it. The 812 Superfast has their latest and greatest iteration yet with the displacement stretched to 6.5 liters.

Ferrari claims to get 789 horsepower out of the motor and who knows if they do as getting one of these unicorns on a dyno will not be easy but the claim is backed up by the test numbers.

      0-60 in 2.8 seconds.
      10.4 @ 138.6 in the 1/4 mile

Not bad at all even though those are magazine numbers from MotorTrend and BoostAddict would bet money owners will not repeat that 1/4 mile trap. It still is the fastest GT in the world based on those results and nobody else is close.

Ferrari even did a decent job on the weight this time around keeping it under 4000 pounds in US trim. 3845 pounds with a V12 and dual clutch transmission plus 47/53 percent front to rear weight distribution is excellent for a front engine GT and what you expect from Ferrari.

The 812 Superfast may just be the best Ferrari in the lineup. At least as far as purists are concerned.

        Agreed.

Pretty spectacular but all of them in this class have been since the 550.
