    • PPM Australia claims to have a 3.7 liter F80 M3/F82 M4 built stroker motor capable of 1000+ whp for $44k

PPM (Pure Performance Motorsport Australia or PPM Racing) claims to have various built stroker motors available for many platforms. For example, they claimed to have a 5.0 liter S63TU stroker motor for $18k which can go up to $40k+ with options.

How much do they want for this 3.7 liter S55 built race motor? $44,000.00.

Why? Well, again, it depends on options such as these:

This Engine is for those seeking the Ultimate High Performance Engine for max Boost and Power, PPM Racing Australia has designed an Ultimate 3.7L Stroker version of BMW S55 Turbo engine.

This engine is capable producing 1000WHP++.

As incredible as the BMW S55 Turbo engine is in stock form, they do suffer from OEM Rod/Piston/Bearing and Crank Hub failures due to the boost increase.

PPM Racing Australia has addressed all foreseeable issues with our fully billet internals and developed/built a 1000WHP++ Monster for those who are looking for the ultimate and best out of their S55 engines…

      Features and Specifications:

      • Bore:91mm / Stroke: 94mm Compression Ratio: 10:1 or 9.3:1
      • PPM Racing Australia EN40B Billet Crankshaft with update crankshaft nose and with our special surface finishing
      • PPM Racing Australia Ultimate Forged Pistons with 2x coatings,H13 pins and NPR Rings
      • PPM Racing Australia Ultimate 300M Connecting Rods with our special surface finishing

      • Custom Titanium Retainers
      • New Valve Stem Seals
      • Custom MLS Head Gasket to suit larger Bore
      • Stage 6 cylinder head porting and Polishing
      • Serdi throat ports
      • Measure new valve guide interference , liquid nitrogen shrink fit new valve guides
      • Size and hone finish valve guides
      • Trim valve guide stem seal end for valve spring retainer to stem seal clearance
      • Serdi seat work
      • Rottler S7M machine head gasket surface with our MLS head gasket finish
      • Thermal barrier coat combustion chambers
      • Thermal barrier coat intake ports
      • Thermal barrier coat exhaust ports
      • Thermal barrier coat inlet valve heads upto valve guide on valve stem
      • Thermal barrier coat exhaust valve heads upto valve guide on valve stem
      • Flow bench test after
      • Check and set valve spring pressures
      • Final visual inspection

Their bore x stroke is 91mm x 94mm. Compare it to the stock specs:

      S55B30
      DISPLACEMENT (CC): 2,979
      BLOCK/HEAD MATERIAL: ALUMINUM/ALUMINUM
      BORE Χ STROKE (MM): 84.0mm x 89.6mm
      HORSEPOWER (SAE NET): 425 @ 7,300 RPM
      TORQUE: 406 LB.-FT. @ 1,850 - 5,500 RPM
      SPECIFIC OUTPUT: 141.6 HP/L
      COMPRESSION RATIO: 10.2:1

Another 7 mm of bore is hard to believe but perhaps the closed deck block allows greater bore gains than the N54 or N55 blocks. You will notice there are no N54 or N55 stroker motors approaching this displacement despite having the same factory bore and stroke as the S55.

Does a 3.7 liter S55 race motor with custom cams and valvetrain parts sound awesome? Hell yes!

The question is, who will try it? Where is the proof of it even existing? Who designed these cams and why aren't they offered separately?

Hopefully someone finds out if this is the real deal.

It seems their 'Latest News' and 'Latest Products' are updated separately. They should definitely address that.

Their social media updates are a bit more frequent.

I think your stroke and bore are mistake for N54/N55
        S55 { 89.6x80 }vs N55 { 84x89.6 }.

I don't know how to respond to this without coming off arrogantly.

Its only 1.4mm bore gain and 14mm stroke gain. Just saying.

        You're math is wrong.

It's a bore gain of 7.0mm which I don't think is possible and a stroke gain of 4.4mm.
