    • Ford teases the 2019 Shelby GT500 Mustang stating 700+ horsepower to be expected

Ford put out a teaser video of the new Shelby GT500 Mustang expected for the 2019 model year. What did they reveal? Nothing much. The only important piece of information is to expect 700+ horsepower from the car.

Considering the outgoing GT500 delivered 662 horsepower the 700 figure barely gets a yawn from BoostAddict.com. It better deliver well over that figure.

Considering the Demon makes 840 horsepower and the Hellcat it is based on delivers 707 horses anything less than 700 in the 2018 performance climate is not going to cut it.

The real question that is more important than the output is how they achieve that output. Are we getting another blown V8?

The hot rumor is that a supercharged 5.2 liter 'Predator' V8 based on the Coyote is coming out to play.

750-800 horsepower will be no sweat but it is long overdue for a Domestic manufacturer to give us a twin turbo V8.

Ford, make the move to turbos already and blow the competition away.
