• MT 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio test results and specifications - 0-60 in 3.9, 12.1@119.8 1/4 mile

MT in this instance stands for MotorTrend and not manual transmission as Alfa Romeo only offers an 8-speed automatic gearbox for the Giulia Quadrifoglio in the USA. A letdown for sure but the performance numbers are strong with the automatic gearbox.

You might be saying, hey, wait, didn't I already see this test? Pretty much as MotorTrend is recycling footage here for a 'new' video release. However, they did a laptime test on a new track (Thunderhill) and this time the F80 M3 Competition Package comes out on top:

Ignore the typo for the M3 laptime. It actually turned a 1:23.87.

You get their impressions as well as the test results below. The car is arguably current roadcourse champion in the class and certainly fast with a 119.8 mile per hour trap speed.

Is it faster than an M4 Competition Package though? Piecing together magazine times for an answer is not exactly scientific and we would need some independent runs to go by. The Quadrifoglio based on dyno results certainly is as powerful as an M4 S55 and showed well against a tuned example meaning a stock M4 is going to have its hands full.

A clutch pedal and I'd buy one.
