11.0@127.3 is pretty fast, right? Well, it is, but compared to the stock numbers MotorTrend hit of 11.6@122.1 it really isn't all that impressive. Now magazines aren't really the best at drag racing but we would expect a much bigger performance gain than that, especially with horsepower that is supposed to be in the 700 range. Output is supposed to be boosted by 185 horses and 132 pound-feet of torque with the positive displacement blower.
7.5 psi of boost is added to the direct injected V10 which is part of the $55,000 Extreme Edition package. We have to ask ourselves, for $55,000 shouldn't this thing be running low 10's instead of low 11's at well into the 130's trap speed wise? Why even bother with this then when twin turbo packages are available for less money offering more horsepower and higher trap speeds? Someone would have to really love positive displacement blowers to go this route.
