    • 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S (992 C2s) standing kilometer - 20.7 seconds

      Keep the Porsche 992 acceleration data coming! Now, we have numbers for 0-100 kph, 0-200 kph, 100-200 kph, and the 1/4 mile of course for the new 992 Carrera S. The car is very impressive for its rated output and the new 8-speed PDK is working very well.

      You can now add the standing kilometer at 20.7 seconds to the list of figures. Unfortunately, the trap speed is not shared and going by the speedometer is not accurate.

      Some standing kilometer times for context:

      991.2 GT2 RS: 19.1
      600LT: 19.2
      Base R8 V10: 20.5
      540C: 20.6
      NSX: 20.8
      Nissan GT-R Recaro: 21.2
      AMG GT-S: 21.2

      20.7 is an excellent result and ahead of the new NSX.

        Gt2rs = 700hp
        600lt = 592hp
        r8 (base) = 562hp
        540c = 533hp
        nsx = 573hp
        992 C2S = 450hp

        imagine the 992 with an additional 100-200hp!

        But the knuclehead over C&D stating that 992 is worse than 991.2...interesting.

        Well acceleration isn't the defining factor but 992 slights seem to be aimed at the weight and steering feel.

        Chris Harris seems to think steering is great. Those who $#@! about weight have no real argument.
