    • It's here, the 2020 Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray with a 495 horsepower LT2 6.2 liter naturally aspirated V8

Finally! This is what the automotive world waited for this month and really what every car enthusiast on the internet was waiting to see today. Chevrolet is finally lifting the veil on the mid-engine 2020 Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray although these photos leaked early.

So, what do you think? Do you like the styling? It borrows quite a bit from Ferrari but meshes it with Chevrolet's own modern styling language. In some areas it looks stunning. In some it looks somewhat plasticky and cheap.

Really one will need to see it in person and we need higher resolution photos as well. Those will come shortly so come back and check the page for more photos.

The 6.2 liter LT2 V8 output is 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. There is no manual option and an 8-speed dual clutch handles gear changes.

There is an optional Z51 package said to offer a sport exhaust, upgraded brakes, and some cooling upgrades as well. The official press release from GM should have all the details once it is posted.

Let the debate over the new mid-engine Corvette begin.

I'd like to drive one but I can't see myself as a Corvette owner.

It's going to be a huge value though if the expected $80k starting point is correct. That just means everyone will have them though.

The rear & no manual...not for me! Undeniably going to be an awesome performance value.

Staring price is below $60k. I kinda like it. Haven't owned American car b4. Might be time ;-)

I think we can finally get past the vette stigma with this.

They killed the game with a $60k starting price and those features/looks/performance.

I love everything but the 2 spoke steering wheel.

The interior looks legit nice and while the rear looks too much like a Camaro I love the rest of the angles and im sure it will grow on me.

What's the over-under on when the Liberty Walk wide body kit will be out for the C8?

Also....who in their right mind is buying a Supra for $50K when they can get into a C8 for $60K?

        Power: 495hp vs 335hp**
Trans: 8spd DCT vs 8spd AT
        0-60mph: 2.9 sec vs 3.9 sec
        Weight: Both are about 3,400lbs

**Even if the Supra is underrated the C8 wins by a large margin

Saving space on steering wheel design to serve 2 purposes: drivers could easily see the digital dash and for tall folks to easily get in/out and also racing inspired.

I looked at the photo again and started to dislike all the buttons on the right. Who the fsck is going to press 1/2 of those buttons? I hope Porsche won't say...nice try lol

$60k... I don't even know what to say. Might as well buy one just because.

Might as well stick a fork in the Supra. What a freaking flop.

The C8 at $60k... damn. I just can’t get over the price. They will sell a ton of these.

Nailed my thoughts exactly. Love everything but the Camaro rear. And the price is crazy good.

Wait for the TTV8? Or buy one and twin turbo it and just annihilate 99.5% of the cars on the road? Gintani do much with LSx engines? Might be their start too.

This thing will be a world beater with $15k in mods. I'd love to get into one but no if regret getting a base model as soon as the z06 is announced.

I wouldn't give up on the 911. At this price I would simply add it to the garage.

Not sure on how much room there is under the glass but a TVS2650 is all I'd want.
