    • MotorWeek 2020 MKV Toyota Supra test - 0-60 4.4, 1/4 mile 12.8@111

MotorWeek test videos have little fluff to them. They tell you what they think succinctly and give you the test numbers. That is exactly what we like to see here and in this video they got their hands on the new Toyota Supra.

Overall, they like the car but wish it offered a manual transmission option. That will be a common complaint.

The performance is decent with 0-60 coming in 4.4 seconds but they definitely get a bit of tirespin in testing. The 1/4 mile goes by in 12.8 seconds at 111 miles per hour. This is slower than some of the other test numbers posted but probably more realistic.

Most of the Toyota influence seems to be felt in the exterior. Inside, you can instantly recognize a BMW interior design.

MotorWeek thinks the BMW and Toyota blend makes for a uniquely awesome car. BoostAddict feels it is a letdown for Supra enthusiasts.

If they still test at the old (and now defunct) 75/80 Dragway...it's not a surprise the times are a little slower. My car was always a couple of tenths/mph slower there for some reason.

Well, it's more than half a BMW so no surprise there. But I think they should have done it themselves and make it even better.

        Exactly.

Why would I even bother with this car with the C8 existing for almost the same money?
