    • Bavarian Rennsport states they spend their time fixing BMS JB4's and that Terry Burger and Burger Tuning is not honest in their approach

Well, here is one way to try to make a name for your BMW shop. Ever hear of Bavarian Rennsport in Florida? No? You are not alone. They recently put out a video stating they mostly repair JB4's and that a customer has a huge repair bill after using a JB4.

They promptly deleted the video (way to stand behind your supposed integrity guys) but not before BimmerBoost was made aware of it. Unfortunately, it was not saved in time.

Still, there is plenty of discussion on social media where Bavarian Rennsport calls out BMS and Terry Burger specifically regarding being honest about his product (since deleted):

What is this, 2010? The JB4 is not new. Neither is BMS. Speaking personally from experience support and communication requests from BMS are answered practically instantly.

BMS has an entire forum (N54tech.com) dedicated to JB4 support. Experienced tuners have been using JB4's with their own back end flashes for years now. What exactly is Terry Burger hiding or not being up front about?

      Read this garbage:

Bavarian Rennsport states Terry Burger should create a video instructing people how to use a JB4. Um, how many more videos does Youtube need of how to install and use your JB4?

Does BMS need to possibly create another support forum? N54techForIdiotsatBavarianRennsport.com maybe?

While Bavarian Rennsport was spewing BS about social consciousness and informing the community they deleted their posts and video. An odd move for someone supposedly standing up for the truth.

      Edit:

Bavarian Rennsport didn't delete faster than BimmerBoost saved:

This is dumb. If you can’t figure out how to use a jb4, you shouldn’t be driving.

This shop is here in Jacksonville. I think Shawn f'd up pretty bad going after JB4 in a video. It wouldnt surprise me if he got a cease and desist letter from Burger Motorsports lol

I think him deleting the video/posts was a good move.

Yeah he seemed to realize that pretty quickly as he started deleting everything but a bit late.

The video saying all they do is fix JB4 stuff and won't run BMS products (BMS makes more than JB4's...) is just stupid.

Yea, for sure. While I dont run Jb4 on any of my stuff, as a piggy back boost controller, it works pretty well on the N54's and the pi control is useful. I still like the stock ECU better but Terry at the end of the day did what he could and really is responsible for taking the platform a long way. The BMS cowl filters are a decent idea along with their intakes that work pretty well on the n55 stuff.

I actually engaged the guy yesterday, unfortunately he deleted all the posts.

His customer brought in a MSD80 335 with a failed MOSFET. Rather than diagnose the MOSFET and fix it for $50 they racked the customer up on a $5000 repair bill with new injectors, coding, then when that didn't fix it (shocker) new DME, programming, etc. Then he turned around and made this video blaming everything on the JB4. As if MOSFET and injector issues on the N54 are somehow specific to tuning. Then he went on and on about how BMW wouldn't cover it under warranty because the customer left the JB4 installed when he brought it in. Whose N54 is still under warranty? lol

Anyway when confronted with the facts he finally saw the light and deleted the video. So the social medial blasts now on him and his shop although entertaining, are probably a bit much. Click here to enlarge

This alone makes me fume. He's getting off easy as far as I'm concerned.

I had a JB4 with bms for my m6, i had the intakes, meth kit, and charge pipes. All the products were excellent and as advertised. Any setup issues I had I was able to get help from Terry or someone else at the shop. Im sure Terry can answer this but there must be 100's of JB's on the road if not 1000's by now. Issues of some sort come with modifying cars but all and all I think these are excellent products and I would def buy again.

Oh,there are a lot more people than that who should not be licensed driving out there.

I remember one of my brighter friends said no one who could not solve a second order differential equation should be licensed. I thought it a little extreme initially, but now that I observe people operating vehicles with no clue about physics, I indeed think he had a very valid criterium.

For telling owners not to run a JB4 on the street? I think if you read BMS disclaimers you would realize that is also the EPA and CARB position. EPA regulations are Federal Law.
