    • 2019 B9 Audi RS5 with EA839 MTM piggyback and exhaust runs 11.4@119 in the 1/4 mile

You might say an 11.4 @ 119 in the 1/4 mile pretty quick but once you put the RS5 in context, it's underwhelming. This 1/4 mile sprint is just a tinge quicker than a stock F80 M3 let alone a Competition version.

The MTM piggyback tune obviously is working well and adding almost five miles per hour of trap speed but a piggyback tuned C63 or M3 would destroy this RS5.

It is odd that on one hand Audi over delivered with the RS3, TT-RS, and even the RS7 yet the new RS4/RS5 underwhelm.

Which version of MTM piggy back is this, aren't there two available, one at 575 HP and the other less.

Note sure but either way it's weak.

When I look at mods, I tend to look at what they achieve vs a baseline, which in this case would be a stock RS5. Also, the cost/benefit from the mod. Since this is a pretty new car, it is difficult at this point to know what its potential will be after further development.

        Fair point.

It's a decent improvement over stock.

They the same. The 575hp versions has a charge cooler and filter added.

its decent on pump I suppose for tune-only compared to stock, but yes I would agree it's not as good as the C63/M3. Maybe a proper flash will wake it up with some more fuel and ignition advancement? At this point, B8.5 dual-pulley need not worry about murdering an RS5 with a piggy tune...

Very preliminary to say its underwhelming. I'm sure we'll find there is plenty left in it with a comprehensive flash and better gas and that should get it close to 10's and easily clear 120mph.

        Not really. It's underwhelming stock.

Seem's barely slower stock than an M4 CP, I wouldn't say underwhelming.

I wrote about that race: https://www.boostaddict.com/content....in-a-drag-race

Crappy drag race with no data but it's way slower than an M4 CP.

For the M4 to pull the RS5 like that after the RS5 gets a lead off the line means the M4 is making much more power.

This is further reinforced by the RS5 trapping 119 with a piggyback which a stock M4 CP can easily clear.

The RS5 is roughly a 115 trap car stock so Audi is providing E92 M3 performance and their car weighs over 4000 pounds.

for sure BMW is making more than advertised, we've known this since the F80/2 came out. No way its making 450hp, more like 500+ meanwhile the Audi is probably 450hp in real life.

Pretty sure the RS5 doesn't weigh 4,000lbs either....

you are right that it doesnt hold a candle to the RS3....perhaps when the encryption is broken?
