    • Tune only McLaren 720S runs 9.6@146 in the 1/4 mile

This is a good result to give perspective on McLaren 720S performance against other McLaren models. For example, recently an MP4-12C with upgraded turbochargers, meth injection, downpipes, and custom tuning managed a 9.720 @ 146.10 in the 1/4 mile.

Basically the same as this 720S with an ECU tune by Dyno Spectrum which does a 9.60 @ 146.58.

EkanooRacing posted the video but not the timeslip as usual.

Regardless, it goes to show not only how quick a 720S is with just a tune but that an MP4-12C can match it with some basic upgrades. Of course, the 720S with a turbo upgrade will be in another stratosphere.

Right. I totally believe that this is tune-only. All “records” out of the ME are garbage.

        Heres a stock 720s pulling 150mph:

Heres one with tune, downpipes and exhaust going 9.59.

I cant see any reason why you couldnt get one to go 9.6 tune only

You can but he's right to mention these 'Ekanoo' Middle Easter runs should be taken with a grain of salt.

Somehow they have magic DA over there.

You know what..... I might be wrong here (partially)

I just looked up some stats for the Bahrain F1 circuit. I believe that the questionable drag strip is down the front straight....

Which happens to be 16 METERS below sea level. That’s better than Atco. And they all run at night, which is cool in the desert. I bet DA is regularly -1000.

I think we we know what’s going on here now. Other than the rampant cheating of course.

They also can calibrate it to say whatever the hell they want...

Wat I was saying is that, scientifically, the conditions are perfect for massive negative DA. Without calibrating whatever to say whatever. 50’ below sea level, dry and cold with frequent high pressure. Super dense air.

But yeah, we all know they cheat.
