The McLaren 600LT is currently the lightest production McLaren vehicle. They did not strip out weight and add power while adding downforce for fun. This car is designed to be a track weapon yet at its much lower price point can not be allowed to step on the toes of its 720S big brother. No doubt the Trofeo R tires help here as the P1 itself picks up almost 1.5 seconds just from the tire changes. That takes the McLaren P1 from just losing to the 600LT to beating its time easily: The Ferrari 488 Pista is omitted accidentally from the lap time list but it turned a 1:10.8. What will a 720LT do?

Now we are starting to cook with gas! Take a look at this very impressive Audi B9 S5 1/4 mile pass from an S5 EA839 3.0 with the Pure Turbos Stage 2 hybrid turbo upgrade. The car managed to hit 10.585 @ 134.39 miles per hour. This is now the overall B9 S5 1/4 mile record but also the overall EA839 engine platform record until someone tops it: The mods are a JB4 tune with Pure Turbos Stage 2 turbocharger and a BMS meth kit. The car is factory weight and on the factory wheels and tires. Very impressive and congratulations to all involved on the record.

Promoted to front page with intro paragraphs: You knew this was coming hot on the heels of the APR 718 software suite release. This is arguably the most impressive software release to date on the 991.2 9A2B6 3.0 platform and APR is providing considerable testing data along with being the first tuner to date so support OTS 100% E85 tuning. This is a game changer namely in APR taking advantage of the ability for Sport Chrono equipped cars to change modes. Normal, Sport, and Sport+ all still work but each provides a different mode that alters the map. How that works and the data to go with it you can read about below. E85 tuning is something tuners have struggled with but APR has it figured out and the numbers are outstanding. They are able to take a base 991.2 9A2B6 3.0 (Carrera, T) from 360 wheel horsepower stock to 474 wheel horsepower. The torque gain is almost 200 lb-ft at the wheels! Read the full details below as this is a big deal for 991.2 3.0 enthusiasts with much more to come.

Coupes, I'd suggest reading through this thread closely- should answer a lot of questions about the GF's and also show lots of pictures of the large housings vs. comparisons with other housing options: https://www.bimmerboost.com/showthread.php?94980-New-RBTurbo-Game-Finishers-Two-N54-cast-turbo-options-starting-at-3000 The long and short of it is that the RB GF's, while similar to the RB EVOs wheel sets and compressor housings, are a whole new breed when it comes to the entire hotside which has been significantly improved over any other such that it is no longer any sort of cork whatsoever. The Super RB EVO 17T's were nearly identical to the RB Next Gen Plus, except it had a larger more efficient compressor housing. Both of these would probably get edged out a bit by the new RB Twos Plus thanks to a slightly larger higher flowing custom turbine. The RB GF Standards are similar to the RB Twos Plus but with much larger housings hot (and manifold) and cold, along with yet again an even larger custom turbine. Thanks, Rob

So far all have been the larger RB GF High Flows. We have 8 sets left for sale in the batch we are working on now, 4 are 17T's and 4 are 19T's. Once these are gone probably will be spring/summer before we have anymore. Thanks, Rob

Read the full details below as this is a big deal for 991.2 3.0 enthusiasts with much more to come. Product Page Product Page Product Page APR is pleased to present the ultimate engine control unit (ECU) upgrade for the 3.0T engine! APR’s ECU Upgrades are the best dollar-per-horsepower modification one can make to the 3.0T engine. The upgrades dramatically increase horsepower and torque, making for an exceptionally quicker and more exciting vehicle. This is made possible through APR’s optimization of the factory engine management system to take full advantage of the engine’s capabilities, without needing any end user adjustment. The software loads to the factory ECU through the OBD-II port, resulting in a clean and headache-free install. APR ECU Upgrade Stages APR’s ECU Upgrades support various octanes both with or without any hardware modifications. Each stage is fully compatible with an upgraded intake, intercooler, exhaust, or other minor bolt on modifications. Porsche Mode Switching Each upgrade offers a host of improvements beyond power alone. Using Porsche’s Normal, Sport, and Sport Plus modes offers varying levels of output while retaining all of the unique characteristics present in each mode. Sport and Sport plus modes give you full power and torque. Normal mode give you modest increase over stock, but focuses on economy and comfort. We’ve optimized boost, fueling, ignition, cams, and more to achieve greater power and torque in all scenarios. Features In Sport Plus mode we’ve reduced turbo lag during reapplication of the throttle by building boost while off the throttle. We have linearized the pedal maps for a more predictable throttle response curve, which works exceptionally well on the track. We’ve enabled left foot braking, and brake boosting. The speed limiter has been removed. We’ve optimized the software to better handle larger wheels without excessive torque interventions. And finally we’ve inverted the start stop functionality so the vehicle starts with this feature disabled. Safety With many customers tracking their Porsche, safety is paramount in our calibration strategy. Through the use of extreme datalogging equipment and additional sensors, thermocouples, and transducers, our engineers were able to fully optimize the ECU for advanced safety routines. This includes implementing several routines not enabled from the factory. The entire thermal management system is optimized to reduce engine bay temperature, and reduce intake air temperature, while also implementing advanced protection routines to prevent oil temperature from achieving unsafe levels. The exhaust crackles disable when temperature thresholds are crossed, and are only enabled in sport mode. Next, we help protect the engine from LSPI by preventing the engine from being lugged out in tall gears. We also protect the turbo from damaging compressor surge, and add in turboshaft overspeed protection. We’ve enabled new temperature protection routines to prevent the engine, exhaust, and other components from overheating, and have implemented temperature management strategies that are fully mindful of the platform’s limited fueling capabilities. We’ve optimized the injection strategy to not only deliver a fatter torque curve and better spool, but to reduce the chances of knock, and torque dips. This is also achieved alongside per cylinder ignition advance and fuel trimming. APR Stage 1 ECU Upgrade The APR Stage 1 ECU Upgrade is the first step towards making more power! This simple upgrade requires no engine hardware modifications, and produces 454-501 HP with 439-523 FT-LBS of torque, depending on octane. Gains as high as 102-155 HP and 111-195 FT-LBS of torque are available throughout the power band. To get more power, the vehicle can be outfitted with an upgraded intake, cooling, or exhasut system. APR Stage 1 is available for 91 AKI, 93 AKI, 100 AKI, 104 AKI, and E60-E85 fuel grades in North America, and 95 RON, 98 RON, 104 RON, 108 RON, and E60-E85 in the Rest of the World. Great numbers here right in what is arguably the 'sweet spot' for the N54. This E92 335i belongs to BimmerBoost member @Lazyme870 and it has 160k+ miles on it. This car gets driven and with ~630 rear wheel horsepower must be a lot of fun. It is running the RB GF (Game Finisher) turbochargers. 2008 335i with about 160K RB Game Finishers w/Ceramic coated manifolds 19T FBO with RB EVO Inlets/ RB outlets Single VTT Shotgun, Fuel-it 650 LPFP JB4+BEF Tuned by Trebila The torque curve holds well and the car hit a peak of 579 lb-ft at the wheels. Solid results.

Turbos utilized in healthy environments, and not pushed to and beyond the edges of their lives, should easily last 75+k miles just as the OEM's would. This goes for our entire lineup as well, you really just need to figure out your power goals and buy the appropriate setup, no need to buy the largest it is more about just using whatever you buy in the recommended power ranges (or below). Thanks, Rob

Thanks! I love them and they have been rock solid. I had a few misfires when the temps dropped. I regapped the plugs from .022 to .018 and all is well. I have around 3k miles on them so far (Many many pulls, multiple drag strip trips, dyno runs etc). The car is not my daily so that is actually a good bit more than I usually drive the car. The only changes that have been made since the dyno are a touch more boost up top, and I setup the load by gear in MHD. I run about 11psi in 1st, 16 in second and full boost in 3rd on my street tires. Depending on temperature 3rd can get sketchy and 2nd still spins pretty bad, but is manageable.
