F10 BMW M5 concept photos leaked by a Russian site

We were not expecting photos the M5 concept for at least a little while longer. Seems a Russian site jumped the gun slightly and was able to post the photos for the M5 concept before anyone else. As usual, BMW reveals their production aspirations for the M car in concept form and we like what we see. No real surprises, the car is actually fairly mild and restrained.

It isn't as controversial of a design as the E60, definitely.

I'm sure it'll be more expensive than the E60...no? probably ~100k starting?

    It looks like an E90 M3, with an E60ish M5 rear bumper/diffuser.

This car already bores me. If it sounds like a X6M, then it bores me even more.

    Is there a S85 option?

All I had to do for the M5 renderings was copy a damn e92 m3 bumper. Boring

I'm in agreement, the design is a bit bland and boring. BMW is almost paying it too safe here.

It's pretty much the same thing as my 550i Msport down to the same rims except these are painted black. I was expecting more I guess but it's kind of sad for me to see the M5 as a slight upgrade from the 550i. I would have prefered like with the E60 a very distinctive design and a completely separate engine. Definitely can't justify an additional 20k+ for this.

it's definitely boring. nothing special and honestly, it's seriously just showing that BMW are trying to cut costs as much as possible, and profit from repackaging a 550i.

They went super conservative for this design. It looks pretty good, but it doesn't pop. It also doesn't help that the turbo thing just turns me off in this car. I'm not an anti-turbo person at all, but just don't put them in M cars.

I think it needs side skirts. The m6 wheels are whack. It needs more M like mirrors. And the nose / grills stick out to far they need the front bumper to stick out more or something

This car has to be understated for it's intended market position. They can have blistered quarter panels, hood bulges and oversized front valance openings on cars like the E82 1M & E90/E92/E93 M3. A proper executive perofrmance sedan is a Q-ship. Visual restraint is to be expected, so hence the toned down looks and just crush the competition with performance. That is what the aftermarket is for. The Hamann F10 M Sport Package front valance, side skirts & rear insert are the best looking aftermarket parts right now, tastfully aggressive atleast for Hamann (R.I.P).

Like usual the new BMW will have to grow on people. I think there are subtle details that don't show up in this color and pictures. So in typical fashion, modern BMW's have to be seen in the flesh.

We understand it needs to be restrained and elegant, but this is bland.
