Heffner stock internal Audi R8 V10 twin turbo kit - 725 all wheel hoserpower at 6 psi

Heffer Performance is wrapping up their R8 V10 twin turbo kit. The car produces 725 whp on pump gas at only 6 psi on the stock internals. This is up over 225 whp from stock. No word yet on the cost of the setup but the but the V8 kit for the stock internals was around $25k last time we checked. This will be a bit more than that.

it sure is beautiful, you say only 6psi, but look how massive the hairdryers are Click here to enlarge 6psi out of those puppies is like 25psi or more on td03-10T's (335 turbos). no doubt the engine calls for it, as the displacement is almost double that of a 335, but its great to see more potential on this platform than the r8 v8. i cant wait to see what else heffner has in store, hopefully some stage 3 option with a built block and say 15 pounds? the turbos look like t3/t4's no? the compressor housing looks to be a size up from the turbine housing. i would figure 5+ liters and 8k+ revs would produce more exhaust gas than two t3's, but i could be way wrong, and the scale of the picture may be misleading.

Yeah the volume of air those suckers are pushing looks quite large. I love the look of turbo kits on rear engine cars. It's just so elegantly straightforward.

This is just the very mild, easy stage. 6 psi on high compression is plenty of power for the stock internals.

I think this is my next car.

Amazing, look at the engineering that went into this kit. This is what you pay for, not Julio down the street MIG welding $#@! together.

throttle response wouldnt really change, the car doesn't make any less power at any rpm than before, the power that it will make while on boost vs off boost will create that feeling of lag but that is only lag to the new power
