    Frankenturbo summed up

Credit to this goes to @fredcase I just thought it was succinct. Well, he left out the Play-Doh which is my personal favorite Frankenturbo story:

Was using windshield washer tank for meth injection. Known to cause fires on the n54.

Claimed inlets are usless on stock turbos.

Cranked timing to the moon. Turned off knock detection blaming the stock dmfw for "false" misfires. Blew compression on 2 cylinders, then blamed jb4 for not logging timing.

Busted making fake compressor maps on the audi world.

Posted pictures of cast manifolds with serious casting problems.

Claims his turbos are made in china, then he takes them apart and re balances them, in house,

Then emails leaked from vtt that someone else was doing that for him, then stopped dealing with doug, due to his shady buisness practices.

How anybody can take this guy seriously is a mystery to me.

Someone laughed off this forum. He's just some dumb kid that thinks he's a vendor.

I was wondering why you didn't include the Play-Doh. See if you can find it in this pic:

Nelson racing wheels sells nice steering wheels. However, there is a BIG load of BS as to the fabrication. "Hand crafted in Denver, CO" - Maybe the logo he has was handcrafted in Denver, and maybe the bag he ships it in, but they are BoSpeed steeringwheels straight off of Alibaba. He didn't even have the decency to use a different picture than what BoSpeed has on their site, lol.

I've been tempted to see how cheap they will do a group buy for and just get 10 - 20 people some nice cheap steering wheels, lol.

I swear I saw a thread on here or E90 that someone posted about buying the leather kit and sewing them by hand. I think it was really inexpensive. Maybe he does this and it is not the BOspeed whole wheel. It makes me want to find it because the sun is making my E92 steering wheel look a little old now.

Dang, missed the post to see what the defense was.

If NRW has a full staff of people "hand crafting" these, let's get some full shots of them being assembled. Yes, we know it's admitted that they have "partnerships across the globe" to get the great Carbon Fiber that Sparco uses, but that is just the line to buy some time as it takes a week to ship from China.

Vivi @ BoSpeed will sell to anyone.

@Sticky should create a whole thread of hidden messages that only people with a high rep can see. It would be like the bilderberg meetings where only the high rollers can make $#@! happen around here. We will call it the boosterberg thread.

You know what? I like this idea. I could do something along the lines of you add a [TAG] of some sort and the messages would only be available to those with high rep as you said.

Not even that hard to do. Might be fun. Might piss of people with low rep which is worth it on its own.

I get that I'm a pleb with low rep, but what benefit does that serve your forum? Isn't the goal of your forum to be to have views? Views translate to increased advertising for you, so wouldn't it be wise to have it all open? I lurk too much to ever be an internet hero with high 'rep' power, whatever the ultimate goal is of that.

For one if someone posts something users feel is over the the line users can downvote it. Do you just want anarchy?

You can still view the post if you have enough rep but views aren't calculated on a per post basis. It is the total thread views.

Secondly, would you prefer deletion? I don't. If someone posts something terrible rather than deleting it those who downvote can soft hide it and it still is available.

It is also an incentive to maintain positive rep and not piss everyone off by just posting dick pics or something all day.

@langsbr I started from the bottom not too long ago. I had to do some dirty things , things I'm not proud of. But hey, when someone gets their post hidden, I don't think about all those nasty things I had to do, I just click the little button to see the message.

@langsbr just post more and lurk less and you'll have 1000 before you know it. It's very easy to do.

Posting for the sake of posting doesn't add any value to the forum either though. This post is an example.

Hence why your post isn't getting repped because it isn't good.

Langsbr on the other hand made some quality posts and his rep points jumped up.

It's honestly pretty simple to understand. I'm sure even you will be able to figure it out.
