    Updates on my E92 335i

I installed my CF skirts extensions and rear cannard like things on Saturday. This pic is before I washed it, it's covered in pollen even though I garage it and only drive on decent days.

Got my custom headlights installed. If you want a set, pricing, quote, option sheets etc. please contact: vin.bimmergruppe@gmail.com. Mention my name and Vin will hook you up.

Installed these lights on my e92 and KW coilovers on my buddies XI all in the same day. not bad for a days worth of work. It was a rainy Saturday so not much else to do but wrench.

Onto the pictures. It does a ton more colors, the green and aqua look neat but no pics of those:

Thanks. I know this forum cares less about cosmetic stuff but I have a few go fast mods at least Click here to enlarge

    Vin is located in NY.

I've modded headlights on other platforms. You can buy all the parts online and DIY. There are DIYs etc. online and youtube. But the risk of destroying headlights can be a deterrent. You are a big DIY like me for the most part so looking back I think I would have done it myself and saved a bit of cash.

I do have a spare set of E92 headlights for sale. I bought a set to have modded and then now have mine for sale. So you could do what i did and have no downtime.

Been really considering doing it for a while now and have a spare set of pre-lci I can use for the downtime. Like you though I was just scared of tearing apart my LCI headlights and melting something or doing more damage than good haha. You already know me though, Im more go than show so this has always been a little out of my element lol.

Thanks for all the kind words guys.

I should have my inlets and outlets installed in a couple weeks. Meth is flowing fine, logs look good. Just started my custom tune with Motiv. After that some other cosmetic mods and that should be it for the year. Other than a few smaller mods I have sitting around uninstalled(diff lockdown, tranny mounts, UUC STS and DSSk, etc.)

Just a run down of the different colors the demon eyes can do. Absolutely no use for this modification but it was inexpensive so yeah. Also it's hard to see from the picture but the cut off is MUCH sharper and MUCH more colorful(fancy new lenses). The camera does not pick up on the color at all but does show the sharp cut off. I can see significantly better at night. Part of that is also probably do to the new HID CBI bulbs.

This is not all of the colors but most of them. There are some in betweens etc and some just did not come out good with my cell phone camera. The camera also washes out the color a bit they are more vibrant in person and it does not have to be at night to see them very clearly:

Like this one is a better example of how they look. The angel eye did not wash the color out as much with my oh so amazing cell phone camera:

There is a Yellow and then a 'Gold' yellow color if that makes any sense:

You can see a sliver of light on the top left of the headlight by the eye brow. The inside is so bright with the angel eyes any opening shows a lot of light escaping. I am going to play around and see what I can do to stop it. Might just be as simple as a clean surface and some electrical tape.

Meth is installed and flowing. Here is a picture of the gauge. Both the boost and meth gauge are angled to the driver hard to see in the picture but in person it is noticeable. I like them in the vents vs. PODs on the steering wheel on dash which I hate the look of personally. I also can't stand my instrument cluster being blocked.

    Thanks!

Got my PE exhaust installed. Only drove it down the street to work but it sounds great. Significantly louder and I have the exhaust burble on duration .5s & max aggressiveness and it sounds ridiculously loud. People were turning their heads. I think I am going to have to tone it down. I didn't get a chance to get it above 4.5k but it sounded much better than the stock exhaust.

Again there are a ton of colors and inbetweens so I just took a bunch of photos. For example see the greens(light, medium, dark):

The camera on my phone messes up heads on photos of these I think because of how bright the angel eyes are:

Again they look better in person. My cell phone might as well be a potato. I could probably mess with the settings as it is a Note 5 but nobody aint got no time fo that.

Latest Update:I liked my wife's E70 twin turbo diesel w/ JBD tune so much I got myself one. The E90 N54 is no more, traded it in. I really needed something bigger for the family + dog especially for lake house trips. It has great low end tq and gets the best mileage of all the motors offered for the X5 26 highway 23 city. Not bad for an awd 5300lb SAV. I can also get from MA to Florida with only 1 fill up!

When I got it(I hate the front and rear reflectors):Click here to enlarge

White interior is nice, also has all season floor & trunk mats:Click here to enlarge

Added on a JBD tune like the wife's SAV:Click here to enlargeClick here to enlarge

Front reflector painted black:Click here to enlarge

Gotta remove the bumper to install them:Click here to enlarge

Rear reflectors painted black:Click here to enlarge

Changed the grill from stock to painted gloss factory black:Before:Click here to enlarge

After:Click here to enlargeClick here to enlarge

Added on Lux 180 Angel eyes, Osram Zenarc CBI 6k HIDs, LED fogs that match the HIDs, tinted the windows, license plate frames, and some other small stuff. No plans to go any further with the E70 as it's just my DD. If the emissions stuff starts to fail I'll probably rip it all out and go with a custom tune so I can pass inspection.

    E92 Updates:
Installed CF rear wing and painted it
Installed Mtech rear bumper w/ CF insertClick here to enlarge

E92 is in the shop right now getting a few bits installed(no pictures):
UUC Short Shift Kit with DSSR rod
    Rogue engineering transmission bushings
    034 Motor Mounts
    Turner Solid aluminum subframe bushings
    Turner Solid aluminum differential bushings
Boost Addictions differential lock down brace
New gear box and diff fluids redline and royal purple

Looking forward to picking the car up and seeing how different it feels. Next up is a serious suspension upgrade. Already have m3 front arms, waiting till I have all the bits and pieces before I install and then get aligned/balanced.

If I thought I was going to mod it any more than cosmetics and the JBD tune I would. If for some reason I do mod it further I will make a separate thread. I like the X5. Roomy, comfy, easy to drive, etc.

I made this thread so I could document the E92's progression. Whenever I go to sell it I'll probably link to this vs. sending tons of pictures etc. So while I while I posted more pictures and wrote about the E70, the E92 is having more expensive parts installed even if it only gets a single picture of her ass end Click here to enlarge

I hope to finish my tune with motiv and dyno the car before the summer. After that I'd like to do a photo shoot.

Thanks! I restored my buddies e90 last weekend. Opticoat and then lens covers. Took a while but we were in no rush. Going to do the same to the x5 and lens covers on the e92 as the lenses are literraly brand new.

My buddy wants to do a full paint correction on the car with me but I am dreading it. A lot of landscape to cover.
