Time to put the turbo 2015 911 GT3 RS turbo rumors to sleep? 991 GT3 RS Nurburgring test video highlights naturally aspirated powerplant

It looks like it is time to finally put those Porsche 991 GT3 RS turbo rumors to rest. Let us remind you that this all started with a report from Autocar from two months ago. It looks like Autocar made the story up, took the hits, and then ran away from it. The rest of the automotive industry likely won't even bother to call Autocar on their BS as the test video below of the 991 GT3 RS clearly sounds like the high revving powerplant out of the 991 GT3.

The GT3 RS is getting close to its official reveal. It will have rear air intakes which should help cool the motor and prevent any nasty engine fire issues. We will have to see just how much Posche tweaked 3.8 liter flat-6 motor from the 991 GT3. The redline will likely stay at the same 9000 rpm as will the displacement but will Porsche increase the 475 horsepower from the standard GT3? 500 naturally aspirated horses sure would be nice.

The only thing worse than the moronic "turbo" rumors is the fact that somehow tons of people totally thought it made sense and there were even people who took the position that it didn't make sense and was stupid but they believed it anyway and proceeded to vent how angry they were with Porsche for doing such a thing. It's almost hilarious how easily people are manipulated. It would be funnier if it wasn't so sad.

Really excited for this thing, should be insane if the standard GT3 is any indication.

I would've guessed hybrid before turbo since those turbo vents could be used for extra cooling like on the GT3-R Hybrid

But turbos don't make any sense for a GT3.

This vid has great camera vantage point to show the speed and stability of GT3 platform, even though the driver is probably only going 9/10 (due to passenger and no helmet).
It still caries more speed than the 2015 TT S vid I posted earlier which shows less controlled driving

It's going to be a beast around the track.
