Anyway I know the N54 crew has been feeling a little neglected lately considering how much attention we've been giving to the new //M platform, the F30 EWG programming, etc, but don't worry. We've been quietly working on some big things for the N54.

For one we finally figured out how to get the JB4 to log timing advance & ignition corrections on cylinders 2-6. As part of this revision we've updated the JB4 interface layout a bit organizing boost, fuel, and timing parameters next to each other. I also expect this will lead to back end flash map improvements, smarter auto tuning algorithms, a meaningful knock light in dash, etc.

We're doing development and testing with it now so expect to see regular updates. Click here to enlarge

BIG news! Nicely done T and team. I love that you guys continue to support the N54 community vs someone else who jumped ship leaving a lot of half done projects.

Yes. Initially we'll support it for normal and ST firmware for i8a0s, ije0s, and ila0s.

Awesome news Terry! I always thought it was fun to bump Shivs thread 6 months, a year later, ect when apparently no one was home. Now only if you had announced this two weeks ago before I tore appart my jb4 harness to use part of it installing my aquamist hsf4...

Thank u Terry now some people can give it a rest about knock in one cylinder! Thank you Jesus!! The more safety options the better. I'm sorry to say also, that work is never done for you. Guess that's great for you as long as the money never stops feeding the lifeline.

Perfect, this will definitely change a lot now. No more second guessing and taking chances with high hp with only one cylinder of review. Now we get it all, no more excuses!

+1 DME Load would be nice. Especially for us Steptronic users and I'm sure DCT's would like to see it as well.

Terry, when will this firmware be available for DL? I assume it will work in conjunction with Cobb AP?

For i8a0s, ijeos, should be ready to go soon. Just need to do a little more testing and clean up work. For Cobb users I need to dig in to a few things as they do flash changes that might impact how we are reading the data. But I'm confident we'll figure it out now that we know the details.

    Amen!

More data is great as long a you know what to do with it. I think some in this community tend to be overly consumed with looking at data. Almost a hypochondriac type situation where something is always wrong when in reality half of what they are looking at is irrelevant. Still as a tuning hardware supplier it's in our best interests to have the system spit out as much data as possible especially these days with the aggressive back end flash maps floating around.
