    track only? drifts?
i have the 135i DCT model, seems interesting, but what does this do?
excuse me for my lack of knowledge on this matter.

@Tamut, on a lightly driven Daily Driven wheel hop usually exhibits itself on a wet road, from a stop, with DTC turned off.

    Here's a quote from mc2racing.com:
Wheel hop is a nasty action whereby the driven wheels of a car voilently shake, vibrate, hop, grab, and/or thump upon acceleration. It's usually quite obvious when your car suffers from this condition, for it sounds and feels like your car fell off a garage lift three times every second. Wheel hop doesn't just feel bad - it's bad for your car, too. For reasons that will be explained below, wheel hop can lead to broken drivetrain parts, including axles and rear differentials on a rear-wheel-drive car, and axles and transmissions on a front-wheel-drive car. If your car wheel hops - get it fixed!
On the N54 platform we've seen a-lot of wheel-hop related failures, this kit was designed to eliminate the risk of breaking those components. During testing it was noticed that solidly locating the rear end differential did not add noise, vibration or harshness to the cabin while removing one of the largest areas of slop in the drive-train: The 3 large, soft, bushings which allow your differential to bang around and twist while you bang through the gears.

Lol I had the exact same reaction when I saw this. Did some quick “how much have I spent on the cars this month” math in my head and had to close the tab before I found myself at the check-out screen.

I will be putting this kit to the test myself on the strip next month. If it works to keep my car's rear planted, it will work for anyone.

I have this kit on my car along with RB Turbos. I've been to the strip a few times, and I've never had wheel hop. The car feels very planted.

I see this in all your promotional material and it is not true. There is a fair bit more noise introduced, both whining and clunks.
Not unbearable by any means but it is definitely present.
And I have still experienced wheel hop in the wet and on a sticky drag strip.

ACM just posted some pics on M3P of a destroyed diff bolt/M3 sub frame. They also testified to the DEFIV lockdown kit & has been used on a fair amount of their cars that see track time.
