Quick update - YSI at 21 psi and C16

Gintani is working on to get my car ready for Shift Sector this weekend.

The good news? The DCT is holding 21 psi from the YSI just fine on C16. The blower has more room in it but we're not going to push much further than that right now. Just want to get it reliable for the event and push the envelope later. I could probably ask for a couple more pounds of boost if necessary.

How much power is it making? We don't know. It's spinning the tires on the dyno. It will be somewhere in the 800's right now probably.

The car is not hooking in 2nd or 3rd gear. Alex said he needs a good coilover setup to tweak it and I told him that's fine. Whether we get the suspension sorted in time for better weight transfer is anyone's guess he will get back to me with pricing details.

I am going to go to longer gearing once I can.

For now I'm happy about the DCT working with the higher power setup.

Good stuff. I'm happy with my Ohlin coil over, very nice set up. I'm sure gintani has something in mind, from the pics it looks like their twin turbo e90 m3 has coil overs installed

We'll see I'm sure I can find someone to source a coilover setup for me in time.

Congrats on the long wait finally paying off and putting the money into being the pioneer/guinea pig.

As far as coilovers I have kw3 on my s2000 and with tweaking I could put down 609whp / 400ish trq on some pretty awful tires from 40 rolls. If I ever went nuts with the m3 I would probably go that same route.

I guess I'll go with the KW's. Going to see how much they are.

The basic ones are all I need?

@Sticky the only set above the KW V3 are the clubsport. I was looking at the V2 myself, but V2 only have height and rebound adjustment whereas V3 has rebound and compression adjustments. $400 difference, I personally don't see the value, but I'm not setting my car up for road course. But I dunno, I suppose it's always nice to have that added adjustment.

I will say general assessment from everyone I talk to BMW or not KW seem to be #1 option.

No, that's way high. should be $2499 regular retial. ~$2099 for V2. I've seen multiple 10% deals and 15% off deals though, so I wouldn't pay over $2300 for the V3

Mod "bargains" is $2700 where Turner is $2500...so that should tell you something about the markup...LOL

Like I said I've seen Turner put them on sale for $2,250 not too long ago, I think that's a good deal. And someone on here was parting out their car and only had like 7k miles or something on some clubsports selling for $1800 I think, maybe even less. @nafoo maybe?
