The Jaguar XK is not dead, larger and upscale next generation XK to come in 2017
Reports have been circulating that the Jaguar XK is dead. Now, this is true in the sense that the current generation model has reached the end of its life and is due to be replaced. A new, larger, and more upscale Jaguar XK is coming that will be based on the F-Type platform but slot above it in size, power, and price.
With the launch of the F-Type Jaguar created some overlap in the lineup as the lighter F-Type outperformed its older and heavier sibling. The XK will be phased out this summer as the F-Type has canalized its sales. The new XK will target more upscale competition such as the Bentley Continental GT and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class coupe.
How long until we see it? Considering Jaguar has the XE sedan to launch and then an SUV we are looking at a few years at best. The F-Type is already filling the void quite well until then.

I don't think they need to make it larger, my father has a XKR and it already feels huge when you are driving it.
Although the rear seats are only useable by amputees.

I think they are trying to space it out from the F-Type. Just think of the F-Type as filling the niche while the XK grows to become even more of a luxury GT.Chrome Space Bar Issue: http://www.boostaddict.com/showthrea...338#post738338
