    LS2 rx8 build in Aus

This is my build thread on my rx8. I bought it stock 10 years ago. It then went through several family members before i reunited with it, with a seized motor.

During the first round of modifications i did the following:

    Engine:
    Rotary motorsport built renesis
    New housings
    new plates
    new rotors
Everything brand new in the motor
    Secondary bridgeport
    exhaust ports opened up
    Dowled the motor

2inch header pipe merging into 2.75in collector
    No cat
3inch exhaust with custom made rear muffler

    Racing Beat intake
    Mazmart water pump
    Mazmart low temp thermo stat
Bigger and thicker alloy rad (chinese type)

Brand New gt spec 6 speed box
    Heavy duty clutch

Series 2 fuel pump and assembly modified for series 1 fuel tank
    haltech ecu

White line Adjustable Coilovers (complete catalog)
    White line Sway bars

Race Brake prads on factory calipers and discs (Works fine, no brake fad at all)
    Race fluid
(i dont know the brands, my mechanic has details)

Light weight non adjustable drivers seat
    6 point harness
    removal of rear interior

here is a small clip at the track

I then sold the running gear and purchased a Holden 2013 6.0lt ss manual ute that was smashed. I stripped it for its running gear and everything i needed.

I then proceeded to purchase the following:
    ls kit from lsrx8.com
    new head gasket
    timing chain
    water pump
    oil pump
    new clutch and flywheel
    morosso sump
    fuel pump
    dod delete kit
bigger cam (i think it is 224/232) i will have to check the specs
i also shaved the heads a little for more compression.

Currently we have just fitted the motor and box, next week the headers will be getting made.

The car is my weekend toy and is being built is a track toy to do weekend sprints, hill climbs and any motor event i can enter. It will be street legal and engineered.

Its an ongoing project that will never end. How ever it takes all my money that id like to spend on my c63.

    Hi sticky

passnger header completed, work has begun on the drivers side. By the end of next week the headers should be done.

Also we are hoping to make around 450rwhp.
