wow, that's impressive. Sorry to hear the owner passed away. I take it this was a AWD>RWD conversion? I'd be curious to see what types of gains they see from that and how well it hooks up from a dig

They probably just dyno'd it with the front driveshaft not connected.

I wish they did more tt f cars. I'd take a 1000 whp turbo scuderia over a lambo. There's something about the scud that really turns me on. I get a stiffy just thinking about it.

It's not because they aren't willing to. The F430 pricing is higher and not as many people buy them to turbo. The F cars also seem to hold their value better.

That said, I agree with you as I would prefer a turbo Scuderia as well. It seems a shame to mess with a Scuderia though so I'd 'settle' for a turbo F430.

Yea it does seem a bit sacriligous, and i think most f car owners are of a different mindset with reguards to mods than gallardo owners. Ferraris seem to be a more emotional expierience (one of my neighbors owns a 430, and swears that the car has a personality of its own).

The scuderia has a beautiful a$$ though. The body is so much better better looking than a standard f430 so i think a scuderia body conversion is neccessary. Without the badge of course.

I actually prefer the standard F430 body. To each their own.

Probably not the most important piece of the puzzle, but I really want to know how reliable these cars at this point (even the 1R/2R package). End of the day these are based off street cars that were N/A and had under-600 BHP originally, now there's pushing over 2k WHP!?!

Like I said, not the biggest issue but I would hate to pay ~$300k on for a "street car" that has reliability issues. No fun if it spends more time on a lift then on the tarmac.

Agreed. There is very little info regarding ugr and the 1000+whp kits' long term reliability. Most of the info is related to race events, and any questions on the forums asking about reliability on the street are left unanswered.

Why assume it's unreliable? The engine builder is top notch, the tuning is top notch, and you pay through the nose for the associated hardware to handle the power.

Plus if you can afford it you can afford to get it right. Nothing over 2000 horsepower is going to offer OEM reliability.

    +1

You're taking a 500 crank horsepower car and gutting the powertrain. If you read the entire specifics of each build everything is insanely strong and "built" (i use the term loosely) for those power levels. If you can pay for 2000whp you should have no problem paying the maintenance on such a beast.

Do you guys think the measly 850-1000 whp builds are more or less just as reliable? Would love to know for perhaps the future...

It depends. 850-1000 whp build on the stock internals? With a built motor? With a standalone? There are tons of factors.

It's going to be pretty damn reliable. Launching it over and over will affect that. You have to worry about the drivetrain more than the motor.

I would think anything into the 800+ it would wreak havoc on the transmission. There is a reason they do one-piece billet parts on parts of the drive-line.

According to UGR, you get a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty on the build. That is pretty nice.
