New fastest 6-speed manual MKVI Golf R - APR Stage III GTX2867 on race gas goes 11.6@121.5

New fastest 6-speed manual Golf R record here courtesy of a MKVI Golf R equipped with the APR Stage III turbo kit. The turbocharger is a Garrett GTX2867 and the owner used a 100 octane race file. The car ran street rubber and not drag rubber although with all wheel drive it did not suffer too much as the 1.785 60 foot shows. There 2-3 tenths will likely be knocked off the elapsed time if the owner can get the launch down into the 1.60 60 foot range.

    Congrats on the new record:

That would surprise a lot of cars on the road. Not my cup of tea but those are some legit numbers.

not bad at all! especially for a bolt on and go kit (not counting the intercooler, downpipe, exhuast, intake, HPFP, rods, etc)
