Switzer Performance Innovation: 2 "9 Second" GTRs!

    SWITZER:

    Hello everyone.

Yesterday we rented Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. This the first time we have taken a GTR out to a drag strip to record performance and data. Overall it was a good day. Our E900 package ran a best of 9.623 at 145.91 mph and the R1K ran a best of 9.38 at 155.29 and a best trap speed of 156.44

First, a video from in the cockpit:

    E900 on 20" BBS LM's:

The line was not very optimal for a high powered launch, as you can see (and hear) the car spun the tires in first and second gear.

I will add that our best 60-130mph for the R1K that day was a 3.96.

There is a massive amount of pictures and video from everyone and it is coming in today. As I cut together videos edit pictures they will be posted here.

    - Neil

R1K stands for 1000whp on Race gas.

    E900 stands for 800+ whp on E85

I believe R1K was not running on 44psi, i guess it was 38psi. Not sure about this! A better launch by R1k would have netted 9 flat!

    Nice work!
How did you get the gearbox and clutch to play nice with the substantial torque increase?

Most likely the gears are hardened and clutch packs upgraded. That thing just grabs and goes.

Come close? Man... I don't know, I don't think we are going to see a BMW in the 3's as the power it takes to get there makes it a question of traction. A BMW hasn't even hit the 4's yet and would need 800+ whp to do so.

So could a BMW come near? Yes, but I mean it is extremely difficult and unlikely to happen unless someone dedicated time to it.

Lol, yea I totally understand about the traction. cause isnt hpf stage 3 running about 1000whp? they havent even tried?

cause this is the fastest 60-130 time I see with a RWD car.

    http://www.*************.com/car-dat...es/details/4/7

4.25 i believe he made that into the RWD conversion. sooo anything is possible right?

That time is taken from the 6speed list: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...mile-list.html

Which, actually, is similar to our list which you can just click on up top.

From what I have seen, to really get a measure from power I believe a 50-150 time should be used or something that goes to a higher speed than 130. It is crazy to say, but 60-130 is becoming traction limited. Not like 0-60 but with the way we are progressing we will need a larger mph measurement.

Ohh okay yea. I saw the one on this site but yea thats crazy with the porsches rwd 4.25sec.

I can agree why 50-150 time would be more understandable.. ppl are still in 4th gear and lose traction.. at the 130 mark.

it would take 2 turbos, and a V8 in a light car. Click here to enlarge

3.73 was a false alarm. Weird elevation change caused that. But 3.96 still stands.

    Hello Everyone.

Last Tuesday we rented Summit Motorsports Park to see how some of our cars would do in the 1/4 mile. This was our first time taking a GTR down the strip and overall it was a good day.

There was roughly a 10-15mph headwind all day and temps peaked at 65F, track temps struggled to get above 80F. This made for a very slick starting line. The E900 GTR recorded the best 60' of the day, a 1.56.

Below is a video of the two best runs of the day:

This package features our V2 turbochargers which are stock turbo manifold and housing turbos. The engine in this particular car is stock, however it is recommended that you upgrade the engine with our forged internal engine build.

It was really awesome to watch the car run in the 9's the with the same exact wheels and tires he runs on the street everyday. His wife even takes the kids to lacrosse camp in it!
