LOL, no, there are few cars I don't consider "weak" in stock form. Corvette stingray, Cobra, Lexus LFA, Aventador, there is a good sized list. I don't think the M3 is weak at all in stock form, just for it's price it's on the weak side, I feel BMW could have worked harder and got another 40-50hp out of it stock, which would have been better for a car that sold between $70-80k on the lot. Unless absolute bare bones.

I wasn't hating at all, but for 6.1 liters with lowered compression, a lot of fuel and air, thats to be expected. The compression is most likely around 9:1-9.5:1 depending on how much boost they plan on running.

Oh the Lexus LF-A isn't weak. Yeah, it offers a great performance to price ratio. Especially against a stock GTR right?

It's based on context. All cars aren't built for drag racing either.

Calling a low 13 second stock SUV weak is insane and just plain ignorant.

Ok... and it will do over 1000 'weak' wheel horsepower on race gas.

    It's a hell of a platform.

$#@! yeah it is, I think they look badass too! I have always liked those Cherokee SRT's. I am a huge fan of american muscle. I have a little stable, 67 El camino I'm building a twin GTX3076 LS3 for, and a secret project my dad built 25 years ago that I am going to be bringing back to life with an updated Twin set up, this one is going to $#@! on the game. Ok, fair enough, but what makes it more special than an X5 50i? Is the $25k worth the mildly better performance than a Ford explorer with ecoboost? Which also has superior MPG, as does the X5 or X3. Fully loaded X3 is same price, similar performance, same with a tune, same interior space, and superior luxury options.

What's the total cost of this Stage 6 SRT8 plus MSRP of the car? Lets go buy a X5 50i and dump the difference in cost into the performance and see what happens.

I guess all I'm saying is if this was a Ford Explorer, Chevy Traverse, etc. or another real "reasonably" priced SUV with a "reasonably priced" performance package I'd be impressed. I get it's a way nicer vehicle, which is my point, I'll take a MB, Audi, BMW, Porsche, over an SRT8 if I'm spending the coin.

Hey, total props though for american muscle, always have been and will be a fan of american muscle, and I like the progression we've seen of american brands stepping up their game to compete with the luxury quality of Das Auto's, but not there yet.

That is not at all 4 wheels. They disconnect the front to do their tuning/dyno because the place they use only has a 2wd dyno. Stage6 is local to me and I was mildly interested in getting one of those Jeeps to turbo it before I bought my CTS-V.

It's lighter. It's easier to modify. It's made far more power. It has more displacement. It has more tuning potential. It doesn't have direct injection fuel limitations. Cheaper parts. Need I go on?

I didn't know Stage 6 dyno'd their cars to the front wheels. Thanks.

Regardless it will do far more than 750 to all four wheels on high boost.

The SRT8 out of all of those is the best power platform. The Cayenne is the best to drive.

For me it would be a RS Q3 out of all of them.

The SRT8 doesn't have the refinement but it's just flat out American brute force. At the end of the day that always wins a race. It doesn't mean you want to pull up to the country club in it though.

I'll take a BMW X5 thanks....which is a bigger car. Take the X3 and you're saving money, even 100% optioned out full MSRP on an X3 is $57k, and the X3 is the comparable sized vehicle to the SRT8. It's only slightly slower stock, and is just as fast or quicker with a simple tune. I wouldn't call a car priced the same as a fully loaded BMW SUV "reasonable"
SRT8 is half the price of a X5 50i here, $75k vs $150k. Seems a lot more reasonable to me.

Now those numbers are just ridiculous...that makes no sense why the BMW's price would increase so much more than a Jeep, what's up with that? Different tariff for different brand of car?

LOL at x3 has the same interior room as the new srt8. My brother has a 13 srt8 and that thing is a tank its a bigger than the x5 and alot bigger than the x3.

Also something we noticed was that srt must put a break in limiter on these cars when he first got it brand new i took it out and beat on it I was not impressed ! The truck felt sluggish very soft launches, okay top end and slushy shifts. Once we got it to about 4-5K miles i was driving one day merging onto the highway and the truck completely changed and i could really tell by the shifts. The slushiness was gone and replaced by a very firm almost violent upshifts and it made that popping/cracking/farting sound on the upshift it never did before. Also launches from a dig were MUCH harder and i could chirp the tires. We used the cars performance meter and my Vbox as well we were getting 5.0-5.2 before and and got down to a 4.4-4.5 consistently ! Now it has a 4 inch cold air intake, borla catback, and Custom street tune by Johan. Ive hit a 4.1 recently on the vbox on a very cold day.

This truck is a beast when broken in and modded with ~$2,000 their really isnt much that can run with it from light to light and it will put up a fight with any sports suv on the highway. I had an x6 5.0 with a velos tune and charcoal delete before my c63. The jeep would eat it from a dig and pull good from a roll
