BBi Autosport in Cali ran two 997s tuned with COBB, both ran solid 10s in the 130 range over the weekend. Not sure about mods, but the cars are posted with time slips on their Instagram page

Ummmmmm....... Click here to enlarge COBB's bread & butter is turbo tuning off stock DME (i.e., cars that are boosted from the factory). I'd def like to see them attack the F3x M3/M4 though.

I always equated Cobb as an ECU tuning company. There are lots and lots of boosted S65 motors out there that would love to be tuned without a 1000 tuning cable that someone else tunes. The biggest thing holding this platform back is lack of tuning options.

COBB's never supported an N/A or Supercharged Platform, and "starting" with an N/A to FI conversion platform (like the S65) would be a waste. Evolve has already illustrated themselves as a VERY credible BMW tuner, even with hardware that isn't theirs.

The real brilliance with COBB is that you can take any platform they support (all turbocharged from the factory), and regardless of your mod setup, you can tune right off the stock DME using the COBB tuning module.

For anyone interested, COBB is looking into supporting the 996 and 997.2 Turbo platforms. The biggest problem they're facing is the upfront cost for an R&D car.

**Just saw your post, currently it's only 997.1 cars (both Turbo + GT2s)

Hoping to get a V3 end of this month, little tricky getting it here from the us without being hit with Swedish tax. Will run with exhaust, 997.2 IC's and 99 RON to start with. But planning on E85 in my future.

No never goy around to it, the cost (almost 3k for three maps + cable "upgrade" $200) and the lack of any practical way of logging made me wait for Cobb.

Asked this on 6Speed, does anyone know how much boost COBB will let you run off the stock DME? Like are you limited to VTG Tung on 997's? The established setup has been flash base tune with an EBC, but I was wondering if COBB had somehow found a found to completely run it on the DME (would require them to write BOV control in since I believe the VTGs only run off internal WGs)

You can just ask Cobb here. You don't need to reference where you asked the question previously.
