    New Corvette IRS Record - TT C6 Z06 - 8.17 @ 173

This is what you call a serious power platform:

    Specs:

Setup is RPMTransmissions TH400 with C6Z rear end and Drive shaft shop axles, Tires are MT 325/60/15

Boost on that run was 21psi Turbo will go WAY up from there, but we don't have much more RPM in the cam. We will be changing the cam this winter so we can spin the motor a bit more. Right now we are coming through the traps at 7100rpms, we could push that to 7400 pretty easily, but I think there is more on the short side of the track. I'd like to get the car into the 1.2x's and maybe ramp the boost a bit faster.

Tomorrow we will have 2 more qualifing rounds, I may not run them since I am already qualified, and just wait till eliminations to work some more.

The LSX Shootout is a great time, if you have time this weekend come by and share in the fun!

I would pee myself. Then I would get out of the car and pee on someone else.

Very impressive, they have almost caught up to the 6-speed Supra! Click here to enlarge

This platform is very quick for such a short development time. I wish it wasn't an auto three-speed though.

This car WILL be in the 7's, either with a gearing change or cam, and some extra boost.

    Any video?

Here is a a basic rundown, NHRA rules are even stricter now because a famous top fuel drag racer died a couple years ago.

    http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/drag-r...rness-etc.html

The NHRA rulebook is like 500 pages LOL I forgot...

Going into the 7's requires some serious sh1t if you want to run at a sanctioned track.

EDIT: You can get the rulebook here for 13 bucks but you can probably find it online for free

    9's is REALLY REALLY fast.

Most people that dont drag race throw out numbers like they pull them outta their ass, have no idea what 9's feels like. I think once you break into the 9's you start to get the scared feeling, like really scared for your life type $#@!.

Ya, well, you might as well just tape your back statement to your chest and have a faster car.
