    Stock C7 vette 7-speed 1/4 mile - 11.9@119

When you get the car in the hands of people who actually can drive it runs 11's stock. I expect the automatics to deliver consistent high 11's.

Am I crazy for actually considering buying this car?

To answer your question...No you are not crazy. And that is coming from someone that has been driving strictly German cars since 16. I seriously want one too (Z51, black on black).

I can tell you are being serious too. As you have been posting a number of C7 update threads.

Going by your dedication to building the ultimate E92 M3. I could only imagine where you would take a C7 and for considerably less cash.

I wouldn't go crazy. I'd probably just enjoy it and keep the M for roll on racing and such.

Once I get the M3 back I'll be good for a few months and put money into a C7 fund. Red / red Z51.

I have a bunch of crap taking up space my two cars could/should be.

Regardless, I think the C7 is a great way to get more attention for the network due to its volume. Obviously I'd rather have the MP4-12C but no reason I can't wait a year. I mean it's a car most people will wait their whole lives and never get. The problem is becoming never being satisfied.

That would be a wise move. Definitely get some new vendors here and new members.

I don't think you're crazy; it would be nice to have a manual project car to keep your rowing skills prime. single turbo.

I doubt I'd go for the manual.

Well it's because of the performance. I don't really need to commute anywhere so the traffic thing doesn't bug me as much as launching and shift speed does.

Am I really going to beat the auto? No.

Then you might as well go for the optional strap on/wallbanger too.

lol, not gonna lie, if I hadn't already purchase my 335i and put all this money into it, I'd be down at the Chevy dealership taking care of an order for a C7. I just love the car. GTR would be tough competition though, not a huge price variance when compared to a fully optioned stingray either.

I'm really liking this car more and more and considering the value I'll likely do it around the summer. Maybe GM will have some promotion on these by then?

I like how the roof is removable so it will be fun in California and the car is still light and rigid with the roof removed. Really cool design and makes the convertible model pointless at least for me.

The car also looks really good.

Man, I built one on Chevy.com and absolutely love every feature. The drop-down nav screen/hidden cubby is pretty cool. CF roof, white with red interior, CF interior trim, car is a home-run for sure. Even the Z51 wheels are killer in the black option!

Whats the difference from your auto M3 with I-Drive? I see nothing other than the GTR will always be faster. Unless it's just the looks you don't like then I understand.
