It would have to, higher redline, more displacement, better heads, better curve, etc. The S65 does more per pound of boost, simply the way it is.

Dewd, that's bench racing. Shoulda woulda coulda.

Why arent m3 guys going full tilt on their cars. GTR's are a very complex platform. They have been done, why isnt the M3? Yes i agree it's not a FI car but come on, where there is a will there is a way!

Not really, it is based on precedent. A BMW M3 at single digit boost outperforms a GTR at double digit boost, look at our 60-130 numbers.

$ , most just lease it to look cool. On older platforms they certainly are, if you want to see the modern platform, you are looking at it.

Yes they are, but also a Japanese platform that has a history of being tuned to high hp levels. The M3 is far more difficult to tune for something like turbos, notice nobody has done it? The GTR has a head start being TT from the factory.

Some guys are going all out, me, but there is very little else going on and whatever else is has not really been shared. On the GTR you have several big name turbo tuners all trying to one up each other. On the M3 you have tuners just putting out mild stuff to satisfy the mild demands of the average M3 owner. Just look at the competition on DCT upgrades, on the M3 no one had even concerned beefing it up or even bothered with it (other than me).

To get the M3 to start doing things beyond the 130 trap speed level and to get it into the 9's, you need to build the motor. This is an expensive proposition to begin with. You also have all the people who instead of modding the M3 are told to go get something else where it is easier and it is figured out. Hell, I have considered this myself considering how much effort and money it is all the while you have people who don't know what they are talking about crapping all over it.

M3 has high rev limit, high compression, larger disp, and 7 speed DCT. These will result in high horsepower to boost ratio.

There are rich speed junky M3 guys out there. Why isnt any shop taking a dive?

    One shop is.... maybe.

I'm telling you, the money in the M3 market is with mild crap everyone can afford. GTR people are willing to push the limit as they car is a toy. For most M3 owners, the car is their super serious daily driver. Most don't even own it and those that do aren't about to take their 70+k car and put it into pieces. You just don't have a demographic as into tuning, most just see regular street duty.
