    That car must have been broken in like a baby or something. I would expect closer to 480 whp, if not more.

    i believe its the tranny. shifts so fast. you dont need the whp you need on a stick car. but you're right, quite the loss via drivetrain.

    Ferrari's are notoriously bad on dynos, as are all N/A Porsches and Lambos. They need real world airflow around and on top of the car to see accurate results and most shops simply aren't setup for it.

    This is definitely true but I have seen some great dyno results from Pcars. Also, the F430 results are about right.

    With the way the 458 has been performing I expected more than C6 Z06 hp, a lot more. It may very well be the airflow.

    so new one dyno'd around 40-45whp more...but f430 is 480-490 crank , 458 is 560hp... should be 70-80 more crank....maybe the dct system has more drivetrain loss than the old single clutch system.

    It does have more drivetrain loss but still not enough for that.

    Should be a larger difference, I'm thinking it is the break in. We will know more when we see more 458's on the dyno.

    Vivid just dyno'd a stock 997.2 TT PDK on a AWD Mustang dyno and got 444awhp and 443trq. Sport mode was off so it might of put down more torque due to overboost mode.

    Interesting indeed, but I would expect the 458 to have much higher rwhp numbers. Not only due to the higher crank rating but due to it going to RWD.

    I hope we get some more 458 dynos soon or someone getting out to a strip (unlikely).

    considering that the aerodynamics play a big role in the car's performance and direct air towards the intakes... could just be the airflow thing, since it's NA, just like mentioned above.
