I'm willing to make the sacrifices necessary. Honestly, if I just stopped going out and wasting money pointlessly it wouldn't even be hard to do. Achieving one of these would be much more satisfying than fleeting moments of happiness right?

I'm determined, let's see if I pull it off.

    Do it! Here's some tips:

-No more eating out, just buy several crates of Craft Mac n Cheese and Ramen Noodles. Should cut out about $10k worth of dining expenses.
-Quit drinking for a month (another $10k)

Multiply by a year and boom. Your there.

I wonder when we'll see modified turbos or who would do it? I don't mind being the first but someone buy my M3.
Quick google shows most people running sub-10.5 stock, I wouldn't be surprised if some more boost & timing could knock you down a second. I can't find what size turbos it's using, but the P1 is using an upgraded version of the same motor & putting out ~730 HP (+100 over the MP4's most recent software).

10.3 even but yes my numbers were conservative on purpose.

The pictures I posted show the turbos aren't really that big. They don't seem to be too hard to get to either.

I can't do anything until the M3 is gone. I'll finish it, play with it for a couple months, then for sale.

No. MP4-12C it is. It's the chosen one.

Going to take me a year though looks like.

Does anyone know what turbos are used on the MP4? A quick google search didn't give me anything.

Why the chosen oneClick here to enlarge, please elaborate? BTW did you see that episode of top gear (UK) where they took MP4, 458 (?) and some other cars to race around empty buildings in Spain?

I don't remember if I saw one but I saw the Top Gear with the MP4-12C.

Chosen one? Because it's the best. Lightweight, carbon tub, dual clutch, high revving V8 with a flat-plane crank, twin turbo, mid-engine, looks, doors, everything. It's got more technology in it for the money than anything.

As far as technology I would agree. Isn't basically a "detuned" version of formula 1 engine?

Once you get it let us know what are standard maintenance + insurance costs, as I have seen some used super cars for low $$, but maintenance and insurance is downright scary compared to normal cars.

Maintenance isn't much of an issue. Insurance... well, we will see.
