Audi A8 receiving large facelift for 2015 (including adaptive LED headlights), teased with design sketches - Official reveal next month

It seems like the D4 generation Audi A8 just got here. The design does not look dated at all, it actually looks quite modern. The S8 in particular offers great looks and excellent performance. For whatever reason Audi is already updating the design with a major overhaul. If one were to guess, the new W22 Mercedes S-Class likely has Audi thinking it needs 'fresh' styling in order to stay competitive in a lucrative segment where customers want the newest and the best.

Audi will be giving the car new adaptive LED headlights pictured below. What does that mean? It means the headlights will adapt to conditions such as dimming when a car approaches in the opposing lane, smart.

Check out the design sketches and pictures below. Expect an official reveal of the new A8 next month.

Can't wait to see it, I've always been an A8 fan. Always was the most German of all the big sedans. Square, sharp, no-nonsense. These new headlights are amazing, they are capable of many awesome tricks from what I've read.

It just seems like the A8 doesn't need an update already. It looks awesome.

Maybe. Why not be on top. The W221 had an update after 3 years, the F01 had one after about 3 years too, if this is for next year then it seems about right. I mean, also, from what I've been reading over on the Audi forums, MMI has a lot of catching up to do with Command and especially the new iDrive.

Yeah they are. Hell look at the E class...and the 5 series. It's almost like the old days (40s, 50s) when cars were new ever year haha. The new S is...unreal. If they can come close I'd be impressed. That thing is single-handedly going to change the top-tier luxury market.
