finally got done with my new build.

Around christmas time of last year I decided to part out my 335i and take a break from the car thing. Not even a month later I came across a deal I couldnt pass up.
    2003 c5 z06 with 60k on it.
Has high comp 402 with ported 243 heads. Stock ls6 heads
    rps street twin light
    rpm stage 5 trans
    rpm stage 3 diff.
Car made 510 whp at the time.

It was a fun car and ran really good but of course like everybody else I wanted more. So I bought a meth kit, a and a fuel system and an a and a supercharger kit with a vortec v3 trim head unit. Since the car was high compression I planned on leaving it on 6-7 psi until winter. Got the vehicle finished and went to the dyno. Unfortunately the timing chain broke on the dyno. Really weird but i guess crap happens. Did a leak down all the valves were bent. So since I was taking off the heads I figured I would go with a non milled aftermarket head to increase cc size and lower compression. Decided on a 6 bolt trick flow 235. Since they were 6 bolt heads they didnt have any in stock and had to make them. So waited a month and a half and finally got the car back together. Just came back from the dyno and the car put down 782 whp and 650 wtq at 9psi.

I will take some under hood shots after I clean up the vaccum lines and get the 102 throttle body on.

Crazy how easily those cars make power. No replacement for displacement.

I honestly have no idea. Next size down pulley should give me another 2 psi so should be around 800. As far as a ysi I don't know what it would make. I am guessing 900 to 1000 if the block can take it. It's a stock punched out ls2 block.

Sorry havent updated in a while or loaded the dyno graph. The day after it appears the drip valve failed on the meth kit and filled the number one cylinder with meth. When they went to start it the car turned over and shut off. They tried it again and it wouldnt start. So i went up and pulled the the plugs. Meth came pouring out of cylinder 1. So I figured the rod bent. Towed it home dropped the oil pan. Even worse. The rod snapped and punched out the block.

I found bare lq9 iron block. Sent my rotating assy and new iron block to the machine shop. They installed my mainstuds and rotating assy. Took a couple months because they were backed up. SO got the new block back with pistons, rods, and crank installed. I installed everything else once i put the engine on the stand.

While on that couple month wait for the engine to come back from the machine shop I came across a deal for a complete tr6060 swap out of a 7k mile 08 c6z. So I removed the rpm t56 trans and rear and rear subframe.

Here is the tr6060 that I will be installing along with the special offset mounts to make them work within a c5

After all this is installed hopefully all my bad luck with this car is gone. I will be putting in the engine and torque tube today and most likely do the trans and rear over this week and next week when I get time. Hopefully it will be running within the next month and a half. I will get my old dyno sheet and put it up and after I redyno I will put up that sheet too and put up better pics.
