    cam? afaik, there are NO aftermarket cams for the N54. He's running a custom top mount borg warner turbo and implemented a 2 step rev limiter.

    I sold it, unfortunately, after I picked up the 335i. It had a Borg Warner S475 on it. I'm looking for another one though to use as a winter car.

    I think that was a one time custom deal for a N54 customer, not sure if it will be revisited again. Someone on the RENNtech side will have to confirm though

    Does anyone have any suggestions on building more boost with the 2-step? The most I've seen so far was ~4 to 5 psi, if I could get that up to around 10 or so I'd be happy. Perhaps modify the VANOS tables?

    Retard timing and go pig rich has always been the main factors, but vanos could definitely play a part. Basically anything that will drive up the EGT's.

    Not sure about the pig rich, but +1 on the retard timing. When it starts to sound like gunfire it's too retarded and you can break turbos...at least hybrids with big wheels and small shafts anyway. Basically anything that doesn't inhibit airflow but makes the motor lazy so that 2-step "on time" duty cycle is increased in order to maintain that rpm. I guess I can see how going really rich would do that, too, but I wouldn't recommend it because of the cats.

    2008 e92 335i: JB4 G5 ISO/BMS back end flash, fbo, e85, inlets, Rb turbos, level 10 valve body + converter, water/methanol.....and a lot more....
