N54 upgraded guts :look in here:

Check it out Click here to enlarge

    CUSTOM HEAD STUDS
ARP2000 material, no modification drop in.
Installation requires the camshafts to be removed/shifted out of the way.
We use a 4340 chromoly "thick washer" to make up some difference on the stud length. It was the only way to get ARP to "play ball" with the N54 crowd..... Custom studs made by ARP would make this set WELL over 900 dollars, so we opted to go this route to make them a better value.

    499.99 shipped!

    CUSTOM MAIN STUDS
ARP2000 material, very little modification to use.
Main studs are very tricky due to clearances.
The back studs require STRICT and CRITICAL clearances, since the oil pan sits directly over it.
We literally are making them flush with the top of the stud, and also are accounting for oil pan gasket thickness to make this work.
Modifications needed are a very small casting tab sanded down on the oil pump. No big deal, it takes just minutes to make clearance.

The rear studs (nearest to the flywheel) will not use the washer under the nut due to height restrictions. Don't worry, the factory main stud bolts only have .005 bigger built-in washer face, this is negligible. I assure you, no strength is lost in modification of the studs.

    499.99 shipped!

    FORGED PISTONS

This is a 9.5:1 custom stroker piston.
These are custom pistons we order directly from JE or Wiseco (your choice)
Anyone worth their salt in the performance world knows about JE or Wiseco. They are the leaders in performance pistons.

Set of 6 pistons for N54 or N55 engines:

    $999.99 + shipping

Custom low friction coating for a set of 6 pistons:

    $299.00

    HIGH PERFORMANCE RODS

INDUSTRY EXCLUSIVE CUSTOM I-beam E4340 Mill-certified aircraft quality, vacuum carbon-arc deoxidized, E4340 steel, meeting AMS 6415-M, AMS 2301-G and AMS 2304 specifications.

These rods are 100% made in America, not like others that use an imported forging and finish them here.

    Includes:
    6 rods
    ARP2000 rod bolts

(This is NOT a bolt in application! Explained below)
    *****read below*****
We are going to do something truly custom here Click here to enlarge
    These rods are special.
Special, in the fact that we are going to use a performance rod bearing that can take some serious abuse, and get away from the expensive and problematic BMW bearings.
Factory rod bearings can take about 7,000 PSI of pressure before deforming.
The rod bearings we are using can take about 14,500 PSI of pressure.

That being said, here's how it works:

Crankshaft customization at no extra charge:
    De-stroke the crankshaft*
    Stock stroke
    Stroke the crankshaft*

*FACTORY PISTONS DO NOT WORK WITH THESE MODIFICATIONS. CUSTOM PISTONS MUST BE USED.
    PLEASE SEE ABOVE FOR PISTONS

The only way we feel confident in this modification is if we build the bottom end. At a MINIMUM the crankshaft and bare block MUST be sent to us for modifications.

    PRICE DEPENDS ON WORK PERFORMED

Nitrating and custom coating, please contact me.

If someone is interested in titanium rods, please contact me.

    CUSTOM HEAD WORK

    We offer 3 stages:

    Stage 1:
    Hot tanked and cleaned.
    All ports physically run through
    5 angle valve job
    New valve guide seals
    Valves are cut/ground/tipped and adjusted
    Cylinder head surfaced.
This would be considered slightly over stock, since the multi angle job will dramatically change flow over stock angles.

    $799.99 + shipping

    Stage 2:
All of the above, plus intake port matching, smoothing and cleaning up.
All rough castings are cleaned up in the ports, attention is spent near the valves. This would be considered a "mild street" cylinder head

    $1299.99 + shipping

    Stage 3:
All of the above, plus a full CNC port and polish job. Custom race angles and proprietary cuts are used with over 30 years of race engines being built and developed. Cylinder head is match flowed and optimized. This would be considered a "full race" cylinder head.

With this, we'll also tap the air ports in the intake manifolds for future plugging, for venting to atmosphere
    With Ferrea Valvetrain:
    $3799.99 + shipping

Want to go crazy and use beryllium valve seats? We can do it, but it ain't cheap!

Custom building of specific engines can be done as well.
    N54
    N55
    S55

    Lets do it!

I'm just a small squirrel in the world, but I'm trying to make it happen for you guys!

I am sure Alex can respond and has a better idea than me but just adding up what he posted:
ARP like studs ?? + shipping
Forged 100% machined JE or Wiseco pistons + coating: $1,100.00 + shipping
    CUSTOM I-beam E4340 mill-certified billet rods $1500 + shipping
Stage 3 head work $1900 + shipping (more if you include non-stock valves)

So at least $4500 + studs($300-500?) + extra bits you want to replace while doing a built + install labor + shipping back. My guess would be 8kish with shipping included both ways. Probably more installed in your engine bay.

Unless you get a deal shipping can be expensive. A pallet for me costs $800 via UPS freight, through my company it is $300.

8k for a built engine and head, 8k for VTT STG3 = built 800whp cah. As you can buy some N54s for 16k your are investing the value of the car into the engine.

For your head port and valve jobs, do you test them on a flowbench? Are the porting jobs done by hand or CNC?

How many of these crank rod journal jobs have you completed on the N54 or similar engines?

cams would be a pain, IMHO. The way they are manufactured and what is involved with them (oil ports and whatnot in the front for VANOS would leave very little room to manipulate them) You could attempt to do a regrind on them, but I wouldn't suggest it.

You missed the $240 to modify the crankshaft!
you also don't realize, that ALL the Crank bearings/cam trays/seals/gaskets/aluminum bolts/etc add up QUICKLY. I made an EXCEL sheet on all the parts needed to rebuild an N54, and were looking at about 2,000 in parts to put it back together again.

    Hand ported. Yes, flow benched.
on American engines, about (seriously) 8-10 thousand.
    BMW'S we've done a few. It's no difference from a V8 or L6- a journal is a journal is a journal.

Can't say I'm surprised on price. Pay to play on that kind of stuff. The machines that do that kind of stuff are not cheap, nor are the parts and talented labor. I subscribe to fiatnutz on youtube, very cool stuff.

Thanks for the response. Do you have flow numbers available yet? I'm not really in the market, just curious.

I tried to post this earlier but it didn't go through:

What power ceiling is this package targeted to support? I'm guessing this would be a terrific package for those wanting to push more RPM out of the motor too.

We are going to do something truely custom here Click here to enlarge
These rods are going to be special.

We have the technology to modifiy crankshafts. We are going to regrind the rod journals on the crankshaft down to a custom "NASCAR" bearing (which in actuality is a very small amount to make it work from a standard BMW bearing)
Doing this allows us a few things:
Reduces cost overall. The bearings from BMW are about 15 bucks PER SHELL (x12)
We supply bearings with these rods, and (if you ever needed them) replacement bearings for a SET is about 150 bucks.
It allows us custom coatings from the manufacturer, vs. having to send them out.
These rod bearings are used in NASCAR and practically all the pro-mod engines built.
We then send the crankshaft out to get it re-nitrated.
When it comes back, everything is checked once again and its ready to ship (crankshaft and rods together)

I have to purchase these rods in batches of 7 since they are custom builds.
I have no issue paying for them all up front, but I do need a small deposit to hold your spot ($250)

once I have a minimum of 5 people, I'll order them up (5 week lead time)

If someone is interested in titanium rods, please contact me.
Can i just get a set sent to me and machined/installed here? haha

the cost of shipping a crank each way simply makes it not at all reasonable for anyone overseas for the most part (unless someone has a good contact for chap freight :/).

$1500 inc bearings vs $1675+$150-$300 for carillo's. daym.

I beams are stronger+ lighter than H-beam usually correct? (going by http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...beam-rods.html )

do you have any rough prices for upgraded valves/seals/retainers/guides/springs/ everything, if you're able to do that? (i for one, and extremely after it haha)

are springs even upgradeable? or are they really just strong enough that no one should ever worry about it? or too much of a PITA to get sourced/made?

Without upgrading the valves on the exhaust side there's only so much head work will provide. Just my 2c having been there through extensive porting, polishing and flow testing.

Other than that great stuff that you're on here offering this service to the community at very reasonable pricing. Excited that someone will be doing the ARP hardware finally as I had no time when I was doing my cylinder head.

Being "new around these forums" I'm sure others will just wonder about quality. Anything you can share there on your past work experience/projects would be great to hear.

Great work and good luck! Click here to enlarge
