As for sound, Nothing a turbo back exhaust can't fix. Moving pretty good though. Really starting to love the looks of it.

More MKVII Golf R testing on the Nurburgring, engine note needs work?

Here is another video of the upcoming MKVII Golf R testing. The car has to be close to its official reveal and according a site Volkswagen had set up for the reveal it should have already taken place back in February but something changed apparently. The car is still testing as you can see in the video below. It also appears this particular Golf R has a sunroof which somewhat contradicts information presented earlier regarding a carbon fiber roof for the car.

The carbon fiber roof may still be coming to be available as an option but still has not been spotted in testing. Expect the Golf R to basically share similarities with the Audi S3 which means a 2.0 turbo direct injected four-cylinder (likely slightly detuned for the Golf R) and all wheel drive with a dual clutch transmission option.

From the video the engine note sure could use some work as the car lacks any aural punch. Nothing an aftermarket exhaust won't cure but still one would expect a bit more bark. Expect this car to be revealed any day now, it's time.
