2014 Porsche Macan leaked? Picture of the new Porsche SUV looks like the real thing

Is this the Porsche Macan? A very good question and hard to deny the picture looks authentic and follows the design the latest spyphotos were pointing towards. The front of the car has the exact same LED placement that the spy photos showed as well as the shape of the headlights. The front bumper is also the exact same. Unfortunately, it seems only a shot of the front of the Macan was leaked and there is no leaked rear photo.

If this is the design the Macan will be a good looking SUV. Essentially, it just looks like a smaller Cayenne not differentiating itself all that much and playing it safe design wise. Likely the smart decision on styling. This looks like it is going to sell quite well and be quite popular if the Cayenne is anything to go on.

That thing looks aggressive as hell. Does Porsche make an undesirable car right now? I can't think of one. Maybe the base Panamera.

An SUV can never become a sports car. Period.

I can understand why Porsche sells these crap VW based cars in order to make the dollars needed for the company as a whole as there is demand from all those people in their 40s that simply want the badge, but I would never even consider one myself.

How many months do you think we have left until some car manufacturer comes up with the idea to combine a SUV and a cabriolet into one ridiculous SUC(K)?

Nobody is saying it is a sports car.

True, but if you must have an SUV, wouldn't you want one that comes close to being a sports car?

Same driver, same track, same day. C4S is faster than the Cayenne Turbo by 1.2 seconds. This on a handling course where the Cayenne never gets to use its power advantage on a long straight.

Who knows what the Macan will be able to do.

    Exactly.

Certainly lighter than the Cayenne. If they can get the turbo version of the Macan lighter than the V6 or V8 Panamera, you'd have to think really hard about either of those cars. And I say that as someone who really likes the Panamera.

The Macan is going to be awesome especially the V6 Turbo version. Expect Audi Q5 weight.

Looks like Millbrook, 5 minutes from my office. Great place to drive.
If the Macan looks anything like that on launch i can see Porshe selling quite a few here in the UK.
